How do you calculate the percentage from the Karnataka 2nd PUC Grades?

The steps below show how to calculate the Karnataka 2nd PUC percentage.

  • Write down all the grades and corresponding grade points in all six subjects scored by a student.
  • Calculate the total of all six grade points.
  • Divide the total by the total number of subjects (6).
  • Divide the result by ‘10’ and multiply the result by ‘100’. This result will be the percentage scored by that particular student.

For example, a student got A1, A2, A1, B2, B1, and C1 grades in five subjects. Therefore, the corresponding grade points will be 10, 9, 10, 7, 8, and 6.

The sum of all the grade points will be (10+ 9 + 10 + 7 + 8 + 6) = 50

Therefore, the average grade point = 50 / 6 = 8.33

Hence, the percentage marks of that student = (8.33 / 10) x 100% = 83.3%
