Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research located in Delhi was previously a public engineering college. At present AIACTR has merged with the Netaji Subhas University of Technology and became the east campus of NSUT. The institution officially started in 2001 at Geeta colony with an ultra-modern facility and lush green ambiance around it. The campus holds a record time for being built in 18 months by the PWD. AIACR has other facilities like a centralized air-conditioning system, RO System, rainwater harvesting system, nursery, etc.

AIACTR started with a student intake count of 30 each in ECE and CSE departments since the institution was established to cater to the needs of technical education as a result of manpower growth. The main vision of the college is to become an Institute of Excellence in Post-Graduate Engineering.

The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs under the ECE and CSE departments with a limited number of teaching and non-teaching staff.

AIACTR in Delhi has been approved by AICTE and has extended its approval till the year 2021. In 2020 the college has been ranked at the 253rd position in the NIRF Ranking framework. The institution was affiliated to GGSIPU, Delhi till 2019.

Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research Departments

AIACTR in total has only two departments where both are of engineering discipline. Various programs are provided for the applying candidates under these two streams,

• Computer Science and Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering 

The two departments have their own laboratory facilities for the student's wellness. Each of the laboratories is equipped with plenty of systems that are up to date with various industrial software including both open source and licensed type.

AIACTR Courses

AIACTR offers technological courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to its prospective candidates with specializations. Candidates also pursue their Ph. Ds under these disciplines after completing their postgraduation degrees. The college's UG programs are for a duration of 4 years and PG programs are for 2 years. The scholars pursue their research degrees in Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering in NSUT. AIACTR has an ultra-modern campus surrounded by greeneries providing numerous facilities for its students in Delhi. The total area of the college scales a 7.92 acre and the college has a total of three floors excluding the ground floor, canteen, a parking space, and other built-up areas. The college has a classroom capacity to hold about 1184 students. Apart from the department laboratories, the college has ASH Labs which is of great help for the research scholars. There are about seven labs under like chemistry lab, physics lab, engineering mechanics lab, carpentry shop lab and so on. The library at AIACTR has a refined number of books for its UG and PG programs from which the students can refer for academic purposes. A total of 20678 volumes of books are available at the UG level and 8794 volumes of books are available at the PG level. These included both the departments of the college.

AIACTR indulges its students in many extracurricular activities apart from academics. These activities are conducted through various clubs, fests, and NSS services giving a complete balance in campus life. The college has three cells as a major division under which a number of clubs are present with active participants. Cultural cells present in the institute are the theatre club, fine arts club, literacy club, music club, dance club, and so on.

Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research admission is offered in several undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. All admission to UG courses is done based on the JEE Main examination conducted by NTA or CET examination conducted by the university. Postgraduate courses admission is based on the GATE examination or CET examination. The admission form to AIACTR can be found online on the official website.
