Established in the year 1985 by the Punjab Association, “Anna Adarsh College for Women” is a premier centre of higher learning committed to the exclusive cause of women’s education. Situated in Anna Nagar, a strategic and easily accessible hub of Chennai, the college transforms aspiring young learners into energetic empowered women of integrity.The growth of the institution from a tender sapling to a sprawling banyan tree began in 1985. Established in the fond memory of the legendary leader and charismatic statesman of Tamil Nadu, Arignar Anna, the college has taken its renowned motto as its inspiration – Duty, Discipline and Dignity. Beginning with a small core team of 300 students, 22 faculty members and 6 Undergraduate programmes, the college has grown by leaps and bounds with every passing year. Today, the college boasts of a student strength of 4500 with a 200 strong teaching force offering 28 programmes that includes the undergraduate, postgraduate and research streams.

Anna Adarsh College for Women provides various Diploma and Certificate Courses. The International Diploma/ Certificate Courses are for a duration of one year IATA - UFTAA, DEUTSCH (German Language), ESPANOL VENTJA (Spanish), LINGUAPHONE 21, Teacher’s Knowledge Test. Other Diploma/ Certificate Courses are for six months like ACS, Diploma in Banking Finance certified by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Herbal Entrepreneurship, Air Ticketing and Fare Construction, Air Cargo Management, News Reading. University of Madras approved Diploma/ Certificate courses are also available like Diploma Course in Computerised Accounting & Tally for eight months and E-Commerce for a duration of 6 months.

Admission to the proposed course requires minimum marks in 10+2 or equivalent. Details regarding admission criteria and eligibility are as follows:

B.A.T(tourism And Travel Management)	A minimum 50% pass in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu with any discipline.
B.A. in Business Economics	Plus-two Pass with minimum 60% marks.
B.COM BM	Candidates for admission to the first year of the Degree of Bachelor of Bank Management course Shall be required to have passed with the higher Secondary examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, or an examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the syndicate Of the University of Madras.
B.Com General	Candidates for admission to the first year of the Degree of Bachelor of Commerce Course shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by the Government of TamilNadu, or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the syndicate, of the University of Madras.
B.Com CS	A minimum 40% pass in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu with any discipline.
B.Sc Mathematics	A pass in the higher secondary Examinations (Academic or vocational stream) conducted by the government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the syndicate of the University of Madras

M.Com CS	A minimum 40% pass in UG.
M.Com General	A candidate who has passed the B.Com/ B.A. (Corporate Secretary ship), B.Com (Acc,Fin) BCS, BBA, B.Com (Bank Management),B.Com/ B.A(Co-operation), BA (Indus.Org .) and B.Sc (Maths)/ B.Sc (Stats) or B.Sc.
