AIM New Delhi follows a relative grading system. Students are awarded a grade from ‘A to F’ on a GPA scale of 10. Grade ‘A’ indicates a GPA score above 9, and grade ‘F’ indicates a GPA score below 4, which is considered ‘Fail’. The evaluation will generally be based on a combination of components as mentioned in the given table:
Assessment | Weightage |
Continuous Assessment (Attendance, Assignments, Projects) | 40 marks |
Mid Term Examination | 20 marks |
End Term Examination | 40 marks |
A minimum of 40 marks out of 100 is required for any student in any course to get a valid grade, failing which the student shall be given a grade 'F'. Students need a minimum CGPA of 5 to be promoted from the first year to the second year and earn the passing certificate. Those who have more than 10 ‘F’ grades or fail the term due to low attendance/absence during midterm or terminal exam/failure in exams will be disqualified from promotion to the second year.
Students can apply for verification and revaluation of their answer papers after declaring the Asia Pacific Institute of Management results. The answer paper will be sent for revaluation to an alternate faculty. The student has to fill out the revaluation form and deposit a fee of INR 2000 per paper at the AIM examination department. Internal marks will remain the same, and the marks obtained after revaluation will be the final end term result. A student will be eligible for supplementary examination with a ‘D or F’ grade in a subject. The supplementary examinations will be out of 100 marks, and the internal marks scored would lapse. Failed candidates can appear for the improvement exam along with their end term examinations during the next semester. Candidates have to pay a requisite fee amount to appear for the supplementary/improvement examination.
