Bharati Vidyapeeth has built a long-standing reputation as one of the premier colleges in Maharastra. Located strategically in Pune, BVP draws students from various parts of the country. In its long course of existence, the university has produced eminent alumni as well.

One of the best features of Bharati Vidyapeeth is that it focuses on the all-round development of the students. Extracurricular activities form a big part of the student's life at the university. Equally, the focus lies on its faculties as well. In the midst of all the good things, students call for better placements, and infrastructure is strikingly evident. Even though it is a sprawling campus, the university needs to update its many infrastructural features.

Esteemed Faculties

The praising of Bharti Vidyapeeth’s faculties is a constant in the students’ online organic reviews. They have expressed their deep satisfaction with the teaching methods. The faculties are highly qualified with doctorate degrees.

The faculties are known to incorporate various practical and exciting methods in their teaching pedagogy that yield great results. Thus, lectures are never dull. This fosters an environment of exchange of ideas and healthy discussions inside the classrooms.

Good Academics

Being in the education sphere since 1964, Bharti Vidyapeeth has mastered its course curriculum. BVP offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate degrees. These courses are offered in various fields, ranging from science and technology to arts and commerce. Nursing and MBA are among the popular courses that students opt for.

The admission process is based on the entrance exam scores. This makes it a bit of a rigour for students to acquire a seat. Although there are a lot of options available in various courses in the BVP.

This, however, can act as both a boon and a curse. While undoubtedly, the students are kept on track for academics, this can often be tedious at times.

Most certainly, the course fees vary in accordance with the field and demand for the same in the industry. While some courses, such as commerce, can have INR 13,680 as fees, others, like M.S., can cost up to INR 47,70,000. For students coming from marginalised economic backgrounds, it is difficult to pay such high fees.

Sprawling Campus

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed University) has three campuses in Pune. Each of these campuses is dedicated to various courses and colleges. The common factor about all of the three campuses is that they are all spacious and situated amid greeneries. The classrooms are modernised with intelligent classes, projectors, etc. The seating arrangement is comfortable inside the classrooms as well.

However, when it comes to the university library, students have expressed mixed feelings about it. While some heartily agree that the library has an outstanding stock of books, some have found it disappointing. However, it is essential to note that the majority of the students found the library good. The resource centre hosts books, journals, periodicals, magazines, newspapers, and many other relevant study materials. 

The campuses are equipped with a gymnasium, auditorium, and cafeterias. Even if the overall hygiene of the cafeteria is commendable, the quality of food needs to be improved. There are also dedicated medical facilities available for students and staff in case of emergencies. The laboratories have updated equipment with good numbers as well. Hence, students don’t have to struggle amongst themselves. All three campuses are well-maintained and clean.

Plush Students Accommodations

Bharati Vidyapeeth has a large student residential or hostel facility. There are many buildings to house almost all the students. The hostel rooms come with basic amenities. As per their needs, students can opt for single or double rooms and air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned rooms.

The hostels also have mess facilities providing nutritious food. The hostel premises are equipped with a security system; hence, it is safe for the students to reside without any kind of fear. The hostel fees can range from INR 103500 to INR 416000. 

Average Placement Records

Students spend a significant amount of money and time while studying at Bharati Vidyapeeth. Considering this, the placement record at BVP does not look enticing. There are trainings and sessions to help the students hone their soft skills and help them navigate the interviews and other tests for the placements. In spite of this, the average package is 6.45 LPA. The placement rate for undergraduate students was 76%, while for postgraduate students was 68%.

Seeing all this, students are often left disappointed and worried about their future. The placement cell and the university administration have been able to appraise a good number of companies for the placement drive. 

Cheerful and Diverse Campus Life

It is safe to say that students at Bharati Vidyapeeth enjoy an exciting and jovial campus life. Since students from all parts of India take admission, there is a steady cultural exchange among the students. This further enriches the campus life. Many festivals and college fests are celebrated and organised.

Students can often enrol themselves on various student-led clubs and engage in various activities. There are no strict rules or regulations, except students have to maintain their 75% attendance criteria. Failing which, disciplinary action can be taken. Students are also not confined to any dress code or uniform system.

Is Bharati Vidyapeeth Worth it?

Having a legacy, Bharati Vidyapeeth offers a good education with an all-round development of the students. While some courses have high fees, others are very affordable for a large number of students. Given its modern infrastructure and dedicated faculties, BVP is a good choice for students looking for a holistic educational life.
