Bharatiya Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College and Hospital are located in Sangli and was established in the year 2005. At present 150 MBBS students are admitted per year. It has 17 different departments which also runs postgraduate programs by admitting 47 candidates.

The college campus is spread over 2.5 lakh sq.ft. The institute is well equipped with instruments, laboratories, and state of art of museums and it has become a centre for academic excellence. The college has well organized theoretical and practical teaching for the students so that they become excellent professionals in society.

The faculty of the institution has undertaken many research projects through institutional ethical committee and many of the faculty have represented it National and International level. It has a separate library with an area of 3115 sq. metres that helps the students, research scholars, and faculties.
