BLDE University (Deemed to be University) came into existence on 29/2/2008 with the sole objective of providing quality Medical Education and meeting health care needs of the people in this backward region of North Karnataka.BLDE University has deep concern for health care facilities provided to socially backward sections of the society, both in rural and urban areas. It is worth mentioning that the University has established a well equipped Rural Health Centre in the nearby village, Ukkali. THe University is accredited by the UGC and NAAC.

Eligibility Criteria at BLDE University, Bijapur

• Students belonging from General category must secure 50% to be eligible for the examination
• Students belonging from SC/ ST & OBC Category must secure 40 % to be eligible for the examination
• Candidates with disability must secure 45% to be eligible for the examination
