Internships are from 5th semester the college may take you for Internship/training programmes outside the campuses. The University of Kashmir is in the tie-up with a lot of companies outside and within the State, they also utilize Udaan scheme for recruitment and placement. The alumni of the college reported getting around INR 4 lakh per annum. Around 40% to 50% student get placed. It is a newly established college. It has only 2 to 3 alumni, that too the college was functional from the main University campus.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
One has pass 12th with science subjects. You can even apply for lateral entry if you have done a diploma. The eligibility is as per the JEE MAIN entrance examination. The cutoff varies from branch to branch. The highest is for Electrical Engineering or Electronics engineering while the lowest for mechanical. The cut-off remains the eligible for JEE advance.
Fees & Scholarships :
The course fee is INR 47000 per annum. Online scholarships schemes such as Moma is available. 30% to 40% get the Merit cum means scholarship. The hostel is cheaper as compared to other states. Even if the loan is required its very easy through any bank.
Academics & Faculty :
We have a regular daily routine. Quality of teaching is good as the faculties are newly appointed.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
There are 2 hostels. Hostel fees are around INR 30,000 per year. Rooms on rents are available around the campus and area. Food is good and may cost around INR 30 per meal. They infrastructure is new and the progress is on.
Clubs & Associations :
There are a few clubs and associations. The college is new and so is the campus. The development is on and groups are been made. There is Sonzal, the main Cultural fest at Kashmir University and many other events and seminars which are conducted from time to time on various topics and themes. The life is okay.
