Library
The Library of Dev Samaj College for Women, Chandigarh is temporarily housed in a hall measuring75 X 30 sq.ft on the second floor of the college building. The Library hall is surrounded by noise free and inviting reading environment for the readers. The Library hall has the facility to accommodate 75 readers at a time to access the information resources available in the library. The Library operates from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on all working days. The Library subscribes to 82 periodicals and has the collection of 18000 books and other documents in the subject fields of Humanities; Social Sciences; Information and Communication Technology; Fashion Designing; Management and other related areas. The special collection of the Library consists of CDs and DVDs on ICT and other subjects of interest on Value Education, Biographies, etc.The budget allocation for collection development is made available by the college and UGC from time to time.
Seminar Hall
Seminar Hall is a modern and flexible facility that accommodates guests in executive-style seating.
The college is unique in having a fully Air-Conditioned newly constructed, spacious and well furnished Seminar Hall which provides a platform to young students to exchange views, share ideas, and present their papers on contemporary Social, Political, Economic, Scientific, Literary and Cultural issues. The seminar hall has the seating capacity for 100 persons.

The College has well maintained playgrounds within the campus and offers facilities for the following games :
Indoor games :
Table Tennis, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Yoga, Badminton, Shooting, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Boxing.
Outdoor games :
Cycling, Lawn Tennis, Handball, Basketball, Netball, Ball Badminton, Kho-Kho, Archery, Kabaddi.
The college organises Annual sports meet in which the promosing sportswomen of the college is honoured and given trophies for their achievements for various competitions at University and state level.
Special facilities for players :
- Total freeship is given to the players.
- Free hostel facility is provided.
- Prize money is given to the winners in various competitions held at Iniversity and Inter College level.
- Sports Kit is provided to the players.
- Refreshment is given during the practice sessions to the players.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 hostels. And hostel fee per month is around Rs.13,000. PGs are also available and they are cheaper than hostels. The food of mess is very good. Mess charges are included in fees only. Quality of class and other facilities is average.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must have scored 55% in 10+2 to secure admission in b.com. Several merit lists are made according to the cutoff of the year. There is no requirement of entrance test for this course. The typical cutoff for this course goes upto 90%.
Placements & Internships : No internship. Several companies come for placement. The percentage of students who get salaried placement is 85%.
Fees & Scholarships : Course fee increases every year. 1st year- Rs.24,500, 2nd year- Rs.27500, 3rd year- Rs.29,500. Scholarships are available for lower income group families. But there is no concession for SC students. Average number of students who get scholarships is 30-40. No loans are available.
Academics & Faculty : Usually classes are of 40 minutes. The timings are good. Projects and assignments are given on time. Our college has digital facilities for teaching. The overall experience is very good.
Clubs & Associations : We have NSS, NCC, Red ribbon club and women cell. We celebrate bhagwan dev atama divas, teej festival, Lohri, and every year we have youth fest etc. The life in college is very peaceful.
