Academics & Faculty : Daily routine is not prescribed as such all depends on the teacher and the class representative who will schedule the class for the further day. The quality of teaching is good as almost all teachers are much qualified for teaching. The college ambience is awesome. With studies, we get cocurricular activities almost every alternate day. The seniors are very much cooperative in the case of studies, official work or personal problems.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The only way to get admission in this college is through National Eligibility Entrance Test, NEET. I got admitted to this college after scoring a preferable cutoff which usually increases every year. In 2018 the cutoff for this college was 472 for general candidate.
Placements & Internships : There is a compulsory 1-year internship included in the full term course. After that, if the scores are good then you get the house staff ship in the same college as everyone from dental college wants to get admitted here. After that you can give pg entrance exam for your further studies or the candidate can start his own chamber. Next all depends on how you treat the patient and gather your experience.
Fees & Scholarships : The fee structure is INR 7800 per year. Scholarship is available for the minority students and the students who have completed the senior secondary in the year of passing NEET. No. of students doesn't matter for scholarships. No loans are required as this college is totally funded by the government and the course fee is also less.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is a single hostel with good ventilated rooms, can be considered as the best hostel in west bengal. The hostel fee is INR 12 per month. No extra charges. PG options are excellent because this college shares the pride in having the first dental college in the whole south-east Asia. Fooding is average but yes we can complain and the strict action is taken by the seniors. The cost of fooding is INR 900 for 31 meals (dinner on weekdays and lunch and dinner on Sunday). Classrooms are very peaceful places. Most of the classrooms are fully air conditioned. The library is average. Various departments with full infrastructure. Common rooms for boys and girls equipped with various games.
Clubs & Associations : This college is wholly operated under the UNION of majority party. Fests are also held but not every year. Various activities regarding studies, games and donations are held every year almost every alternate day.
