Calcutta National Medical College, [CNMC] Kolkata was established in the year 1948 by combining the National Medical institute and Calcutta Medical Institute. The First Principal of the college was Dr. Sundari Mohan Das. Calcutta National Medical College Admission is through entrance exams and merit. NEET UG scores are used to evaluate admission to MBBS programs, whereas NEET PG scores are taken into account for MD, MS, and diploma programs.

Calcutta National Medical College it is under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of West Bengal since 1967. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Science and approved by the Medical Council of India [MCI]. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Medical field.
