IPGMER is a medical college and hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal. IPGMER was previously called the Presidency College and became Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital post-independence. In 1957, it was finally named the  Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research. IPGMER offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and specialist medical degrees and diplomas, para-medical and doctoral courses in medical and nursing sciences. Admission to these courses is based on NEET-UG, NEET-PG, NEET-SS and JENPAS-UG exams.

IPGMER, Kolkata admission 2024 will begin around July. Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test 

Students in the 1st/2nd year of MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BDS/Engineering or other courses are eligible to apply for this scholarship. INR 20.000 to INR 60,000 are awarded to students based on their performance in the scholarship test.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship 

Students with a West Bengal domicile with an annual family income less than INR 2.5 LPA and an aggregate score of 75% are eligible for this scholarship.

Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Merit-cum-Means Scholarships 

Students with a West Bengal domicile with an annual family income less than INR 6 LPA and an aggregate score of 85% are eligible for this scholarship.

Bigyani Konna Medha Britti Scholarship (JBNSTS)

Female students pursuing a Basic Science/Medicine/ Engineering course in any West Bengal institute are eligible for this scholarship. INR 2000 per month are provided to each student.
