IPGMER Infrastructure Details

IPGMER infrastructure is spread over an area of 34 acres. The campus includes a Respiratory Care Unit, the Advanced neonatal department, the Human Milk Bank, Genomics, Neuro Medicines, School of Digestive and Liver Diseases, etc. Some of the other highlighting features of the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research infrastructure are listed below.

Hostel: IPGMER hostel facilities are provided to students separately based on gender. A hostel administrator maintains the hostels, and students are expected to maintain the discipline and decorum of the hostel.

Library: The IPGMER has a library well stocked with books ranging from textbooks, journals and dissertations. There are over 29000 biomedical journals in various disciplines and over 280 e-journals provided for the academic and research purposes of the students and faculty members.

Laboratories: IPGMER infrastructure has designated individual laboratories for each department that requires laboratory facilities. Each laboratory is equipped with all the necessary and modern instruments required for the research and experimentation of the faculty and students alike. Some of the labs available at the university are:

Auditorium: The IPGMER infrastructure has an auditorium with a 750-seating capacity. The auditorium reflects the institution’s status as a premier research and medical education college. Several events, celebrations and seminars are organised in the auditorium.

Sports Facilities: The IPGMER campus has sports amenities such as a football ground. The university encourages students to pursue sports for their physical and mental well-being. There are facilities for both indoor and outdoor games.
