The university accepts qualifying exams like NEET UG and NEET PG.

Medical College Kolkata Eligibility Criteria

Medical College Kolkata offers admissions to MBBS programs based on NEET scores, to D.M and M.Ch programs based on NEET SS scores and to M.D and M.S programs based on NEET PG scores. Additionally, in order to be considered for admission to different medical colleges in India based on NEET results, students must apply for and pass the All India level counseling.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• Selection for MBBS is done on the basis of NEET-UG scores. 
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks
• Candidates must obtain an eligibility certificate from the West Bengal University of Health Sciences in Kolkata in order to continue medical education programs in West Bengal.

MD Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed MBBS from a Medical college which is recognized by the Medical Council of India are eligible for MD/MS.
• Candidates must have completed at least one year of rotating internship after clearing the MBBS examination.
• Candidates must have studied and passed the course leading to the award of an MBBS Degree at colleges recognized by MCI and connected with any legally established university in India.
