Midnapore Medical College and Hospital, established in 2004 in Midnapore, West Bengal, was previously known as Midnapur Sadar Hospital. The state government renamed it to encourage medical education. Admissions to UG and PG programs at MMC Midnapore are based on entrance exam scores. NEET UG and NEET PG are required for MBBS and MD/MS, respectively, while JENPAS UG is needed for BA Nursing, followed by counseling. Admission to DMLT, DRD, DOTT, DOpt, DDT, and DCCT is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) manages counselling for 85% of state quota seats, while the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) handles 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
