Latest Updates for Dr. VRK Womens Medical College
The NMC has released the detailed NEET UG 2025 syllabus PDF on the official website.
This Women’s Medical College was established in 2010-11 with an annual intake of 100 students for the MBBS degree course. The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued the Essentiality Certificate, and Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences granted affiliation consent to Dr. V.R.K. Education Society for the establishment of the college.
Along with the Essentiality Certificate and Affiliation Consent, the society submitted a comprehensive Project Report to the Board of Governors in the Super-session of the Medical Council of India (MCI). After conducting inspections and verifying the availability of required staff, equipment, and infrastructure, the MCI recommended to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MH&FW), Government of India, to issue the Letter of Permission (LOP). The MH&FW granted the LOP with the letter no: MCI-34(41)/2012-MED/113540 dated 23/05/2012, permitting an annual intake of 100 female students for the MBBS course.
The society also applied for Minority Status with the State Government and the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI), Government of India. The NCMEI granted the Minority Status Certificate (no: 1238/2010, dated 5/10/2010), officially recognizing the institution as a Minority Institution from the outset.
This Women’s Medical College admits only female students, though the staff and patients include both men and women. As a Minority Institution, the college adheres to the admission rules set by the A.P. State Government.

The cost of studying depends on your admission category, either merit-based (A category) or management-based (B/C category). The A category is much more affordable and reasonably priced. However, I was in the B category, and I found the costs to be somewhat high. Still, since they are comparable to those at other universities, I’m not complaining. Even if you or your parents can afford the tuition, I recommend exploring the scholarships available through the admissions office.
