Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur was developed in 2015 when Gangadhar University gave a chance to cherish the moment for the Students of Odisha who were waiting for a long time to fulfill their dreams and aspirations. The Mission of the University is to help underprivileged students who are eager to go ahead through Higher Education. Gangadhar University has the facility of teaching and research for Undergraduates, Postgraduates and research programmes. At present, the University provides study for around 5500 students. • October 10, 2022: GMU Odisha Admission 2022 is Open for Certificate Course in Geriatric Care. The last date to Apply till November 15, 2022.

• The university provides well maintained and spacious hostels.
• There are 4 hostels provided for the boys and 3 for the girls.
• The boys' hostel can accommodate 500 students and the girls' hostel can accommodate more than 400 students.
