The Central Library building was constructed with the total area of 604.80sqm, this building having the Ground floor which covered 388.80sqm and First floor was also build at the area of 216.00sqm.

We are very happy to inform that the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem Central Library was started during the year 1991. This library was situated in the premises of the College covering the total area of 604.80 Sqm.
The Central Library was well designed as per norms and constructed for the benefits of Professors and Head of the Departments and Medical Officers and Medical Students. The Central Library was planned and the Ground floor was constructed in the area of 388.80 Sqm with all facilities. This building is having First floor which covered the area of 216 sqm.,

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : We have good hostel facility. The mess provides delicious and hygienic food. The mess fee is INR 3,000-4,000 per month. Classrooms and lecture halls are well furnished, the library contains books of all authors and quality books.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Candidate must clear the NEET exam and must have passed the 12th from a recognized institute to get admission in this college.
Placements & Internships : I have done an internship in the government hospital. We have no placements. The alumni network is good.
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee is INR 13,000 per annum. The scholarship is available for students whose parents income is below INR 2,50,000 per annum. Around 10 students avail it.
Academics & Faculty : The class starts at 8 am and end at 4 pm. The assignment will be given according to lecturers wish. Teaching is excellent. The experience was good.
Clubs & Associations : There are student commitee to look after the freshers and club for tamil and fine arts. Intra college cuturals, inter college sports are conducted. The college life, in general, was good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Separate hostels for boys and girls in govt colleges and it varies according to different private hotels. Food is too bad. Other infrastructures are quite good as well.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility to get into GMKMC is higher secondary or any degree. The cut off varies for different communities.
Placements & Internships : Internship is about 6 months with no stipend for this course. AL hospitals generally give us placements. Average salary in private sector is 10000. Highest depends upon experience and there is lot of scope abroad.
Fees & Scholarships : The fees is approximately 1.5 lakhs at GMKMC AL students are applicable for govt scholarship as well as minority farmers scholarship.
Academics & Faculty : Morning hospital duty and afternoon class will be present. Lots of assignments and requirements are present. Lecture methods and experience of lecturers is quite good.
Clubs & Associations : Nss, sports, cultural clubs etc are all are present at GMKMC.
