Madras Medical College was set up in 1835, it is the third oldest medical college in India. Mary Ann Dacomb Scharlieb was the first woman in the whole world to be admitted to Medical College in 1875. This is how Madras Medical College Chennai made History. It has nine affiliated institutions with hospitals, each one of them recognized for excellence in Healthcare services. Admission 2024 is ongoing. The college considers NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS for admission to various UG, PG & diploma courses.

Madras Medical College was affiliated with the University of Madras till 1988. After its affiliation in 1857, the College moved to be a center of excellence imparting training in all the specialties in the field of medicine and surgery and it is now one of the premier institutions in the country with undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty courses. Madras Medical College (MMC), Chennai admissions 2022 are ongoing. The candidates are offered admission in each course depending upon their performance in the previous qualifying exams. The candidates can download the Medical College application form online on the college’s official website. Candidates have to clear the state / all India entrance exam for admission to the college. Madras Medical College Eligibility Criteria

Madras Medical College has set different eligibility criteria for different courses in which the students have to qualify to get admission to the college. The eligibility criteria for the courses are mentioned below

M.B.B.S Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must pass in 10+2 with 70% Marks in relevant subjects.
• Candidates must qualify for the NEET-UG exam followed by college counseling.

B.Pharm Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany, and Zoology in their 10+2 exams.
• They must have secured a minimum of 35% in each theory and practical.
• They must have an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks [40% for SC/ ST].
• Candidates must have a valid score in the TNPCEE exam.

MD/ MS/ PG Diploma Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must have an MBBS degree from any institute recognized by the Medical Council of India [MCI].
• The candidates must have a valid score in NEET PG Score followed by college counseling.
