GRG School of Management Studies has a placement cell and entrepreneurship cell for training and development of students and making them industry-ready professionals. Activities under Placement and Entrepreneurship Development Cell include the following:

• Students Forum: GRGSMS has a students’ forum called “Shreyas” that provides a platform for students to develop and demonstrate their knowledge, skills and creativity. Within the students forum there are many interest groups such as on environment, community service, knowledge, arts and aesthetics,health & fitness and entrepreneurship.
• Inter B-School: The institute hosts an annual inter b-school event “Urjith” aimed at fostering a sense of fellowship among students from different b-schools in and around Coimbatore. Activities conducted during the event include the Games in HR, Marketing and Finance, and Business Quiz, Chandrakanthi Memorial Young Business Leader Award, the Best Management Team Award.
• Consulting: GRGSMS offers consulting services in management to individuals and organisations. The consulting services include management intervention, strategy formulation and implementation, market research, executive mentoring etc.
• Industry Day: The annual GRGSMS Industry Day is held in the month of December. Eminent and senior representatives from the industry and the academia discuss contemporary topics that are relevant to both industry and management education.
• E-Talks: The college brings in successful entrepreneurs to share their experiences about personal challenges, risks and rewards with the students so that they get a good idea about the various facets of entrepreneurship.
• Feb Fiesta is a one-day event conducted in the month of February every year. It provides a  platform for the students to learn application of management theories in practice as an entrepreneur.
