Gudlavalleru Engineering College (GEC) was established in 1998 by the AANM & VVRSR Educational Society, with an initial intake of 180 students. The intake has since grown to 1200 for B.Tech and 186 for PG M.Tech and MBA. B.Tech Admission Details

Seat Classification:

Category A Seats (70%): Filled by EAMCET Convenor.

Category B Seats (30%): Filled online by the A.P. Government.

Eligibility:

Minimum age: 16 years as of 31st December of the admission year.

NRI Quota (5%): Requires 50% in qualifying exams or equivalent CGPA (Score),.

The remaining seats are filled by AIEEE rank holders with 45% aggregate in qualifying exams (40% for reserved categories).

Unfilled seats are offered on a merit basis, adhering to prescribed percentage requirements.

 B.Tech (Lateral Entry) Admissions

• An additional 10% of seats are available for lateral entry.
• Admission is based on ECET rank from Diploma and B.Sc. streams.
  This scheme provides an opportunity for diploma holders and science graduates to join engineering programs directly in the second year.

M.Tech Admissions Overview

• For Category B, candidates must achieve at least 50% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 5/10 in the qualifying exam.

Gudlavalleru Engineering College Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 60% aggregate marks, no backlogs, parental income less than ₹50,000.

For First-Year Students: EAMCET rank is the criterion.

Tie-Breaker: Attendance in the previous year/semester.

Award Amount: ₹1,000 for one student per branch per year.

Presentation: Scholarship awarded during the Republic Day function on 26th January.

Application Process: Available from 17th January; submission deadline two days before Republic Day. Must be countersigned by HOD and include attested photocopies of mark sheets and income certificates.
