- The scholarships and awards are offered on the based on these two merit and other backgrounds.
- The University offers financial aid to SC/ST students. The Mumbai Port Trust funds 30 lakh as an endowment fund to the IMU.
- The University provides scholarships to 5 deserving SC/ST students of Rs 50,000 each from the fund.
- The scholarships are semester based.
