Indian Maritime University [IMU] Mumbai Port Campus was established in 2008. IMU Mumbai Port Campus which was the erstwhile Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Advanced Maritime Studies and Research and the Marine Engineering and Research Institute(MERI), Mumbai. The campus was previously known as Indian Maritime University when it had its headquarters at Chennai and Tamil Nadu. The campus is now known as IMU Mumbai Port campus.

Indian Mumbai University [IMU] Mumbai Port Campus offers B.Tech and Diploma programmes in maritime engineering stream. Mumbai Port campus is one of the top institutes among Maritime Training Institutes in the country. The admission to the courses shall be made on merit in the qualifying examination and IMU CET. The university offers B.Tech and Diploma courses. The candidate shall be secured admission after securing a valid score in the Common Entrance Test.
