Institute of Environment Education and Research was founded in 1994 in the vibrant city of Pune, Maharashtra. It is a University institution. The institute is affiliated with Bharati Vidyapeeth.

Education loan facilities are available at the institute to help students finance their higher education. The college offers education loans covering the cost of education and living expenses to students during the admissions.
