Symbiosis Law School, [SLS] Pune was established in the year 1977. It facilitates all law courses and it is the first law college to accommodate evening courses. Symbiosis Law School epitomizes excellence in legal education. The college in the journey of 38 years has achieved various milestones in learning, teaching, and research.

It has been approved by the University Grants Commission [UGC], Bar Council of India [BCI], National Institutional Ranking Framework [NIRF] and is accreditated by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] with an 'A' grade. It is a constituent of Symbiosis International University.

This is the 1st law college in Pune to offer evening law programs that have been one of the pioneers of the five-year law program. It has innovative and creative educational experiments that have set the college apart from other law colleges in the city and the region. The college is a core partner in the global network of legal institutes of the Erasmus Mundus consortium. The government of India, the Ministry of Social Welfare for awarding scholarships to SC and ST students, has also selected this college.

SLS has collaborations with various bodies and renowned national and international educational institutions. The college believes in giving the power of knowledge to all the students. SLS Pune has created a benchmark in many fields by its contribution to various corporate, educational, and legal sectors. 

The Institute has been ranked by India Today Nelson Survey, as one of the Top 10 law schools of India in 2013. Furthermore, the Bar Council of India awarded it with the Gold-star Award in 2013.
