Institute of Information Technology & Management was set up in 1999 by Mata Leelawati Shikshan Sansthan. The institute has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been approved by AICTE, Govenment of India. IITM MCA has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The institute aims to be a centre of excellence promoting value-based quality education in the emerging areas of advanced professional studies in information technology & management. A unique personality development module is integrated with the syllabi to develop the soft skills of the students. IITM maintains constant communication with leading organizations in the industry through the Industry Institute Partnership Centre [IIPC].

IITM Delhi has also been affiliated to GGSIPU, Government of NCT of Delhi. It has been rated as Category ‘A+’ by State Fee Regulatory Committee (SFRC) and Category ‘A’ (Highest) by Joint Assessment Committee (JAC), Govt. of NCT of Delhi.The institute had excellent placements for the year 2021-22. Around 98% of the BBA students got placed. The highest package offered was INR 10 LPA.

The Industry Institute Partnership Centre [IIPC] was established in 2004 for enhancing the interface between the IITM and industry.The centre identifies the industrial expectation and, prepares students for meeting them by facilitating internships, seminars, workshops and various other training programs. Around 70+ companies have visited the institute for placements and 130+ corporate  companies have collaborated with IITM.
