Based on Performance in I-Semester RTU Examination

All Student of B.Tech./MBA who Secures 75% and above marks (in all University Theory Papers) in I-Semester main University Examination and have no Back Papers will be awarded Free Laptop.

Tuition-Fee Waiver Scheme

JIET Universe have the privilege of being Pioneer Private Engineering College in the region to adopt Tuition Fee Wavier Scheme of AICTE Under this scheme 100% tuition fee of Meritorious Students of each branch from economically backward, physically handicapped or women category has been waived off. The first Private Engineering College in the region to adopt Tuition Fee Wavier Scheme of AICTE. Under this scheme 100% tuition fee of meritorious students of each branch from economically backward, physically handicapped or women category has been waived off. Till the session 2011-12 JIET Universe have granted scholarships of about 2 crore.

Scholarship Notice:

1. Social Justice & Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan

Eligibility:-

Passed in qualifying Examination.
Family Income criteria:
- 100000/- for OBC Candidates
- 250000/- for ST, SC and SBC Candidates

Amount of Scholarship:-

More than Tuition Fee (Deposited Tuition Fee + SJED norm)

IMPORTANT:

The maximum amount of scholarship which may be granted is equal to the amount of which receipt provided with the form.

Last Year Achievement:-

JIETians bagged scholarship of Rupees 1 Crore 20 Lacs from SWJD which is highest in Rajasthan.

2. MINORITY WELFARE SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility:-

Passed in qualifying Examination.
Family Income criteria:
- 200000/- for Minority Community Student (Muslim, Sikh etc)

Amount of Scholarship:-

25000/- Per Annum

3. Sita Ram Jindal Foundation(For General Candidates)

Eligibility:-

Passed in qualifying Exam with minimum 70% for Male Candidates & 60% for Female Candidates.
Family Income criteria:
- Family Income should be less than 400000/- for All Category

Amount of Scholarship:-

As per SRJF Norms but minimum 400/- per month

4. Indian Oil

Eligibility:-

This Scholarship is only for I year Students
Passed in XII with minimum 60%.
Family Income should be less than 100000/- for All Category

5. LIC

Eligibility:-

This Scholarship is only for B.Tech Iyear Students
Passed in XII with minimum 60%.

As per LIC Norms but minimum 20000/- per annum

Fees & Scholarships : Course Fee per year is INR 1 lakh. Scholarships are there for categories not for general students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : For admission, we just need 60% score in 12th and I took admission through JEE exam. Before admission, you need to give any entrance exam.

Placements & Internships : As such no big companies came for placements and average salary is INE 3 lakhs.

Academics & Faculty : Classes are managed on daily basis but no quality of teaching is there. The overall experience in college is not good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The college has very poor hostel facilities and the food is also a bad quality. Classrooms Labs and libraries are average and no Wi-Fi facility is there in college.

Clubs & Associations : Sports facilities are there and also no cultural events are organized.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I took direct admission in this college and the cutoff is around 60.

Placements & Internships : The companies are- National thermal power plant, Infosys, Bosch etc. Avg salary- INR 2L and the max salary- INR 12 L. Good alumni network.

Academics & Faculty : The class timing is form 7:30 am-1:30 pm. Regular exams, assignment, and projects are there. Good quality of teaching. Good experience in this college.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 6 hostels in this college, the hostel is separate for boys and girls. PGs are far away from college approx 8-10 km. Good quality of food(INR 60 per meal). Very good infrastructure for studying.

Clubs & Associations : Societies are ISIE, ISHRAY, and many.

Fees & Scholarships : The fee structure is a bit expensive. The yearly fee for our college is approximately Rs.1 lakh per annum which is not very affordable. The fee can be paid semester wise and in installments.

Placements & Internships : Some of the biggest MNC’s visit the Institute for campus recruitment. Campus placement in JIET Group of Institutions for this year graduating batch started with Asahi India Glass, visitors like IBM, IGATE, Infosys, ICICI Prudential, ACT TV, DC Communication, AKSH Optical Fibre, Indian Army,Good Through, Indian Air force, Meditab, Inouye, Genpact, idept Marketing and many other offer jobs with an average salary package of INR 3.25 lacs p.a. and with the highest package of INR 23 LPA.

Academics & Faculty : The ratio of girls and boys is very dramatic. The ratio of girls vs boys in JIET is 1:15 for an average class and in some branches like Mechanical, there are no girls at all.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The hostel rooms are below average and the quality standards are very low. The wardens are very uncooperative and rude and there is no freedom to leave the campus except for Sundays. The hostel fee is around INR 30-50k per annum.

Clubs & Associations : There are many cultural and technical events organized in our colleges. Such as House which is a technical event and fresher's party, farewell party, department day etc and an Annual fest Resonance. Resonance is quite a popular event in the city as many celebrities are invited to it.

Placements & Internships : Placements are good. I got selected in 2 companies. Everage salary depends on the company and the post. The minimum package they offer is INR 3 lac. At least 60% of marks are compulsory for a good company. Apart from all these there is a placement cell who prepares students for exams and interview.
