The Kerala University of Health Sciences was established by the 'Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010', for ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Indian Systems of Medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and other allied sciences and also to have uniformity in the various academic programmes in medical and allied subjects in the State of Kerala.

KUOHS has a computer laboratory for the students. • Candidates must have 45% in their higher secondary examination 
• Candidates who are disabled or belong to the SC/ ST category must have a minimum of 40% of aggregate to apply 
• Candidates applying for the dental course[BDS] must have a minimum of 50% of aggregate to be eligible to apply

To secure admission at any college affiliated to the University, The candidates must first download the application form issued by the University. The University will notify students regarding the entrance examination dates. All students must write the entrance examination, in order to seek admission.
