Library

The Central Library plays an important role in the college. It is situated to the north side of the main building. It is a separate building consisting of 4 floors. It caters to the needs of the staff and students of the college. Ground floor consists of OPAC Services (Online Public Access Catalogue) in addition to card catalogue, circulation, Back Volumes and Digital Library. Mezzanine floor consists of lending books and Xerox Section. I Floor consists of Reference Section, Technical, periodical section and Acquisition Section. II floor consists of Book Bank Section.

Library Facilities:

Library have an Advisory Committee

• It is divided into different sections like Stack area, Reading area and News Papers

• Section, Digital library, Technical Processing Section, Journals Section & Reprographic Section.

• It is having the collection of more than 38200 volumes.

• It is having the collection of more than 40 National and 900 E- journals.

• It is having the collection of 600 copies of books

• It is equipped with automated library Software.

• It has total capacity of 200 members to sit and refer.

• Established Digital library for E-resources and also 150 CD's.

• Usage data of the Library (in terms of Books issued to the faculty & students etc): books per student for a period of Fifteen days and 7 books per staff for a period of Semester.

• Book bank will be provided for a student based on his request.

Physical Education

The College maintains a full fledged sports activity centre which provides the necessary facilities for conducting Sports and Games. The College has very good play fields for conducting outdoor games like, Basket Ball, Ball Badminton, Tennis, Cricket, Kabadi, Hockey, Foot ball, Volley Ball and Athletics events. Apart from this, the college also has an Indoor stadium where all indoor games can be conducted other than these the college also has an indoor stadium, a Multi Gym and physique development equipment.

Internet and Wi-Fi

Since internet acts as a new medium of communication that enables to gain access to vast amount of information on a broad range of topic, Internet facility is provided in the institution as an educational tool to all students. Bothwired and wireless network access (wifi) is available with the high speed internet connectivity of bandwidth 12 MBPS. Wifi connectivity for the entire campus is also enabled in the campus for the access of internet facility at any time to all students.

Hostel

KITS has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished rooms and modern amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on studies.

• A state-of- the-art kitchen and spacious dining area has been provided for both the hostels.

• Generators have been provided as power back up.

• Emphasis has been laid on hygiene and cleanliness for healthy living. A customized menu caters to the student needs and it keeps changing according to their tastes.

• Teaching staff will have to address academic and personal problems of the students.

• Round-the-clock security, communication, dispensary facilities are also available.

• Wi-Fi enabled hostels.
