Infrastructure

The sojourn of 18 years is a very small span in the life of an institution. It was a challenge to develop MIMSR in an institution of quality, including the academic and clinical performance, the development of faculty and infrastructure.

The MIMSR Medical College has fully equipped functional departments and a 610 bed attached teaching hospital. The college and hospital have a total constructed area of 4,65,000 sq. ft., which houses 14 major departments.

Each department has well-equipped classrooms, clinic rooms or seminar halls, well-equipped practical halls, and laboratories, departmental library, office rooms and a well-equipped Dissection Hall and Autopsy room, as specified by the Medical Council of India.

The college and hospital have necessary requirement of land, hospital beds, equipment and infrastructural ancillary and supportive services required as per guidelines of MCI & MUHS, Nashik and in many areas exceeds these requirements for example we have 95 acres of land against the norms of 25 acres,610 bed in Yeshwantrao Chavan Rural Hospital against the MCI norms of 500 beds. Similarly ICCU, NICU, beds and number of operation theaters are more than MCI norms.

We are one of the very few institutions who have identified villages and have digital library with internet facility for students, own hospital waste management programmes with Incinerator, a blood bank and affiliation with British Council Library and FUNEN and ASHA (USA) and CHEFR (UK) for education and research.

Library

MIMSR Central Library system supports the teaching learning program of the institute. The library has an excellent collection of text books, reference books, general books, journals, magazines, encyclopedia, handbooks, data sheets, bound volumes, CD-ROMs, Floppies and other reading material.

The library has adequate infrastructure to meet student’s requirements. MIMSR Central Library follows open access system that allows users a direct access to the library collection.

Library has a conductive atmosphere for reading, well ventilated & adequately lighted infrastructure. It consist of a reading hall, journal section, reference section, circulation section, stack section, acquisition, technical section, staff room and an office for the librarian.

Internet Center

A centralized Internet browsing facility is made available for students and staff members. It is connected with a Broadband, to facilitate high speed Internet surfing. State-of-art IBM servers are connected through a structured network.

There is provision of hostel for Boys & Girls with an accommodation capacity of 220 in each hostel separately.  The food facility or mess, indoor games are  available in both the hostels.

Every student should pay hostel fees of Rs. 15000/- per academic year by 15th June of each year. No one will be allowed to stay in the hostel without payment of hostel fees.  The fees once paid will not be refunded on any account.

All students came under strict control of hostel warden and Rector.   Minimum two students will be accommodated in a hostel room.

Sports, Culture & Recreation :

With a view to develop the all-round personality of the students the institute gives equal importance to curricular and extracurricular activities.  It is the constant endeavour of the institute to see that the students grow intellectually as well as physically.

The institute is always keen to follow the ideals of the great son of India, Shri. Swami Vivekanand.  His words,"Our country needs a few strong men with muscles of iron and nerves of steel" and " It is better to run after a football than to read Geeta.", are dear to the management and the gymkhana and cultural activities at MIMSR are supported in accordance.

We take every effort to encourage our students to participate in various activities such as social, cultural and sports.  The sports ground houses a number of outdoor games facilities like Basket ball, Cricket, Volley Ball and Lawn tennis. It also has a well-developed jogging track to cater to the needs of the health buffs. Special care is taken for the maintenance of the entire ground. Indoor game facilities like Table Tennis, carrom, and badminton is also provided.

A number of competitions are organized during Annual Social Gathering and Ganesh Festival.
