Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in India’s first rural medical college situated in Sevagram. The college was affiliated to Nagpur University till 1997 and from 1998 the college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Medical Sciences, Nashik. The College is managed by Kasturba Health Society. The college was established in the year 1969. The college is accredited with grade ‘A’ from NAAC.

MGIOMS college accepts students based on merit in NEET Entrance Examination. The detail about the entrance examination is given below:

• NEET UG: NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2024 (NEET (UG) - 2024) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
• Date of NEET-UG Entrance Examination
• NEET (UG) - 2024 will be conducted on 3 May 2024 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. The duration of the test will be three (03) hours. The schedule will remain unaltered even if the date of the test is declared a public holiday.
• NEET-PG: NEET-PG is a qualifying cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The examination will be conducted on 5th January 2024.
