 Marian Engineering College is a college that functions under the Trivandrum Social Service Society of the Trivandrum Latin Catholic Archdiocese in Kazhakuttom, Trivandrum. This college was established in the year 2001 with an intention to create an environment at both academic and research levels as required by international standards. This institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to the University of Kerala. The college accepts students through the entrance examination conducted by the Entrance Examination Commissioner, Government of Kerala. With the decades of experience in education that the Archdiocese has had, Marian Engineering College has established quality engineering education in the private sector.

The fees of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Marian Engineering College are affordable. The B.Tech course, which comprises 7 specializations, charges ₹1.27 Lakhs as first-year fees. Marian Engineering College Admission 

Marian Engineering College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs. For B.Tech, candidates must have completed 10+2 in PCM with at least 45% marks and are selected based on KEAM (CEE) scores and merit. Specializations include mechanical, computer science & engineering, civil, electronics & communication, and electrical & electronics engineering. M.Tech candidates need a B.Tech degree with 60% aggregate marks; for OBC, the minimum percentage is 54%, and for SC/ST, it is a pass degree. The students are selected through DTE ranking and GATE scores.

The KEAM 2024 cutoff for Marian Engineering College (MEC) for the EZ category is provided for various B.Tech courses. In Round 1, B.Tech Computer Science Engineering had a cutoff of 26184, which increased to 26616 in Round 2. The cutoff for B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering was seen at 30374 in Round 1 and increased to 35854 in Round 2. The cutoff for the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning branch was the same—30974—in both rounds. Other courses like Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering had different kinds of cutoffs, where no Round 2 cutoff existed in a few courses.

The CGPU of Marian Engineering College facilitates on-campus and off-campus recruitment along with pre-placement training in aptitude tests, group discussions, interviews, and presentation skills. It aims to place the students in reputed companies in India and abroad and also offers career guidance for higher studies. CGPU collaborates with the Department of Humanities and the core departments for mock interviews, GDs, and training programs, including personality development, communication skills, leadership, and online tests. The college also has an MoU with Infosys for enhanced industry-academia collaboration.
