Established in the year 1982, MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore, is an autonomous institute offering education in the fields of engineering, management, and more. VTU-affiliated, approved by AICTE, accredited by NAAC and NBA, it is recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12(B). The college has 15 UG, 8 PG, and PhD programs in 8 research centers: courses offered in the area of Engineering and Management. Admissions are through national-level entrance exams such as KMAT, CAT, XAT, and MAT. In 2024, 95% of students were placed. The highest package was at INR 27.70 LPA. The campus has all the facilities. Students can enjoy campus life, and MVJCE provides financial aid with scholarships and fee concessions.

Admission is open to MVJ College of Engineering for the year 2024. The closing rank for MBA Karnataka PGCET in 2024 was 7075, while in 2023 it was 7564, and in 2022 it was 7293. The cutoff for MBA Round 2 in 2023 was 10095, which was higher than the cutoff for Round 1 at 7564. For B.E. and B.Arch admissions, the closing ranks for MVJCE in 2024 were between 27296 and 131546 for General AI category candidates, with B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering being the most preferred course. The KCET 2024 closing ranks for B.E. programs also varied, with B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering closing at 27296 and B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering at 39895.

It closed its 2023 placement drive with impressive results, the highest package offered being INR 27.70 LPA while the average package ranged between INR 5.60 LPA and INR 7 LPA. Key recruiters were TCS, Cognizant, Dell, SAP, Tally Solutions, MuSigma, Siemens, and Mercedes. The placement drive covers all BTech, MTech, and MBA courses with very attractive offers to the students of the 2023 batch.

MVJ College of Engineering Scholarships

The Dr. M.V. Jayaraman Foundation Scholarship is for one academic year and needs to be renewed every semester with a CGPA of 7.8 (Merit 1), 7.0 (Merit 2), or 6.0 (Merit 3) in each semester. Renewal applications need to be submitted two weeks before the beginning of the odd semester, along with necessary documents. Applications received late or incomplete shall be rejected. Students must maintain an attendance of 85% and maintain the reputation of the institution. If a student fails to meet CGPA requirements or gets indulged in indiscipline, they will stand out from eligibility for future scholarships and be forced to pay regular fees under the management quota. The scholarship committee is the final authority.
