Placements & Internships : Internships at NIFT are managed by Institute only. Internships can be held under Renowned Fashion Designers for design students in major Fashion houses for Technology students where students get hands-on experience in various fields like merchandising, industrial engineering, fashion designing, fashion forecasting, Jewellery Designing, and manufacturing. Many students get PPO from the industry. design, apparel manufacturing, and fashion management companies like Li & Fung, Lifestyle International, Arvind Mills, Sabyasachi Couture, etc hire from the campus. Almost 100% batch gets placed on campus. There are more than 6000 alumni since its time of inception,1986. Alumni hold very respectable positions in the fashion and technology industry.

Academics & Faculty : The day at National Institute of Fashion Technology starts at morning 9:00 am and ends at 5:30 pm in the evening. The classes are three hours each and you will get many projects to give you the extensive depth to the curriculum. There are undergraduate, masters and Masters in Fashion Management programs in NIFT. You can choose between technology, Design, and Management stream at NIFT during your Entrance Test. NIFT has qualified faculties from fashion and Technology industries. Teaching methodology includes more of a practical work rather than theoretical. Teaching is done in classrooms as well as in design studios. NIFT has state-of-the-art design studios. Professors can be accessed after classes too.

Fees & Scholarships : National Institute of Fashion Technology provides scholarships for Economically backward students & scholarship is available from Gujarat Govt. For a student to avail a scholarship, CGPA of 6 is necessary criteria. Every bank provides education loans to NIFT students as NIFT comes under TIER-III institutes in list of Banks.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : National Institute of Fashion Technology encompasses state-of-the-art classrooms and most advanced design studios. NIFT Gandhinagar has a 3 storied dining hall named as Fuel-Station, which caters to the students from morning 9:00 am to evening 10:00 pm. High-speed Wi-Fi has been provided to students in the campus. Basketball court and Volleyball court are there for students. There are ample commuting facilities for students who are coming from far-away places. There are 3 buses of college which provide pick and drop facilities to students who are residing in Ahmedabad.

Clubs & Associations : There are literary clubs, sports club, IT club and social club which ensures ample and proper activities done in the National Institute of Fashion Technology campus. There is a well-built basketball court and volleyball court on-campus.
