National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management was conceptualized by the Government of India on persistent demand of the food industry to have an apex body as a "One Stop Solution Provider" for the various problems of the sector.

The institute intends to act as a center of excellence and a world-class apex center of global standards in food technology and management. In addition, NIFTEM Sonepat aims to become a world-class education hub in food technology and management. The NIFTEM has been placed at 21st rank by NIRF ranking 2024 in agricultural colleges category.

The NIFTEM Sonepat admission is initiated by filling up an online application form on the official website or visiting the college campus. The final selection is based on the eligibility criteria & scores obtained in the entrance exam.

NIFTEM Sonepat B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate must have cleared 10+2 with a minimum of 50%.
• The candidate should have a valid JEE Main exam score.

NIFTEM Sonepat M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have a four-year bachelor degree or a masters degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. 
• The candidate should have a merit score in the GATE exam.

• The library of the college is known as the NIFTEM Knowledge Centre. The five-storied building has 5474.29 sq. mt. There are many books, online databases, e-journals, journals, and books, etc.
• There are eight 100 seater and nine 25 seater classrooms.
• The institute has a fully equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of 650 and with state-of-the-art logistics.
• There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Living rooms are well furnished and spacious with all the modern amenities.
• The college provides facilities for outdoor & indoor sports activities like volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis and billiards with full flood-light arrangements.

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management Scholarship

The merit scholarship will be available to the first three students on a merit basis in B.Tech, and one student on a merit basis in each of the programs of M.Tech. After that, toppers of the first year will be awarded scholarships for next year and subsequent years accordingly only to the toppers of each year. It includes a tuition fee waiver and a fixed monthly stipend for ten months.
