Entrance Exams & Admissions :
The eligibility criterion is same as GATE eligibility.
However the affiliating University (it is an Autonomous Institute of MHRD, Govt. of India, affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology, now known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology West Bengal for the purpose of granting degree only.
The Institue is autonomous in itself regarding setting up of the syllabus, course curriculum etc.) allows even NON-GATE candidates to appear for its own Post graduate entrance test (PGET) for admission.
Those who are GATE qualified are exempted from appearing in the PGET exam and gets preference in the ranking of the final merit list prepared by the University.
After counselling, the allotted candidates are admitted to the Institute. There are separate provisions for sponsored candidates also.
The writer took GATE (CS stream) in 2013 and was admitted into the M.Tech(Multimedia and Software Systems) course in the Dept. of CSE.

Fees & Scholarships :
The course fee is INR 19700 per semester.
MHRD scholarship of INR 12400 available to GATE qualified students only.
About 70 % of the students gets MHRD scholarship at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kolkata.
Loans are not needed necessarily to pay semester fees. However, SBI do offer a loan.
Academics & Faculty :
The classes are from 9.00 AM till 6.00 PM with a break from 1.00 PM to 2.00 PM at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kolkata.
Faculties (of CS Department) are as per any National Institute.
The quality and method of Teaching include Theory, Practical and Projects.
It is a good college for academic purposes.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Three hostels are there. I did not avail Hostel facility, so cannot comment on it.
Outside college PG options are costlier around 5000 per month near National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kolkata.
Canteen facility has been stopped. Now one can go to an executive hostel and have lunch. Prices changes semester wise.
The quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi and other key infrastructure are good.
Classrooms with AC, Whiteboard, OHP. AC labs. Recently Wi-Fied Campus.
Clubs & Associations :
Nothing as student societies are there. However, a programming club is coming up.
Saraswati Puja is the main festival on the campus at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kolkata.
The life in the college is quiet.
