The college specializes in postgraduate education in the fields of Information Technology and Management Science. Nehru Institute of Information Technology and Management, [NIITM] Coimbatore offers tremendous industry exposure to its students through industry visits, internships, conclaves and projects. Both MCA and MBA are 2-year courses spread over 4 semesters. They are full-time courses. MCA accepts lateral entry admission into the second year. In case of both courses, the first two semesters will include study of compulsory subjects, and electives as per the specialization desired can be opted for, the third semester onwards. The fourth and last semester is meant for project work.

The college also offers candidates the opportunity to pursue research in the field of Management Studies. After the course, which typically takes between 3-4 years, students acquire the Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] degree. In order to be eligible for the Ph.D course, students must have a Master’s degree in Management studies.
