Academics & Faculty : Faculty at PESIT is very experienced and is always ready to help. Classes commence from 8 am in the morning until 3:15pm in the afternoon. A short break of 30 minutes and a lunch break of 45 minutes are provided during the college duration. Lecturers are experienced but sometimes few lectures turn out to be boring. This might be due to VTU curriculum.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission to PESIT-BSC used to happen through the COMED-K examinations. Just like every other engineering examination, COMED-K ranks were declared and students were called for college selection process in Karnataka. PESIT-BSC used to be one of the colleges that took students based on their COMED-K rankings. Recently, from 2018, PESIT-BSC was rechristened as PESU-ECC (Electronic City Campus) after it was inducted under PESU-Banshankari.

Placements & Internships : Decent Placements take place in PESIT. The placement of both PESU-Banshankari and PESIT took place together even when PESIT was under VTU, Belagavi. Companies coming to PESIT are categorised into three tiers: Tier 1 (Above 8 LPA), Tier 2 (4-8 LPA), Tier 3 (Less than 4 LPA). A decent number of companies come under all tiers. Some examples such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Amazon, Google etc. PESIT students, who are under VTU, are required to do a two-month internship during their final semester from any company situated in Bangalore. Students who come under PESU do a 6-month internship in their final year.

Fees & Scholarships : SGT University, Gurgaon Management Fee Structure. Fees of SGT University are INR 3+ lakh per year and Hostel+mess charges are around 1.2 LPA. Loans are easily available from all major banks. PESIT campus houses a Union bank branch within its premises.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Currently, PESIT has a single Boys Hostel, which provides a three-sharing room. Hostel and mess fee is a one time payment of 1.2 LPA. However hostel rules and timings are quite stringent. Quite a few PGs could be found in Konappana Agrahara. Infrastructure-wise, the college is ok. Teaching equipment in the classes is sufficient, however the Computer Labs are in dire need of an upgrade. Sometimes students have to share machines during labs. Apart from the college mess, there is an APU-canteen which provides great food at reasonable cost.

Clubs & Associations : Clubs and societies are fewer as compared to PESU Banshankari, or other colleges. Some of the college clubs are: Enigma(Car building and testing, ATVs), Avions(Robotics club related to avionics: drones, airplanes), IEEE Photonics etc This college sports a studious atmosphere. Unlike other colleges, this college does not have fun-based events and fests in numbers as compared to other colleges like BMS or even PESU-Banshankari

Academics & Faculty : Each class is equipped with a large screen display for teaching purposes along with green boards for written learning aids. The teaching sessions are recorded for accessing online by the students of that course. The Faculty for ISE comprises of some teachers that are good at teaching and some that are mediocre. Assignments are given for each subject and are graded.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : PESIT-BSC was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU) till 2018. As such, admissions were through COMED-K, KCET and management quotas. Since 2018, it has become the sister branch of PES University, following their curriculum. Entrance Exam from 2018 onwards is PESSAT. I applied through COMED-K, the cut-off for which ended at around 3000 air in 2015.The cut-off has drastically reduced in the following years, all the way down to ~1500 air for CSE, ISE in the following years. The college has unaffiliated itself with VTU since 2018, joining PES University as a sister branch and is now part of its independent curriculum. The admissions procedure now follows PESSAT norms .There are two counselling rounds.

Placements & Internships : The college follows a compulsory Internship program which runs for 2 months from January to February. I am currently interning at GetMyUni for the duration of 2 months. This is a paid internship with a stipend of 7000/- pm. There is a vast variety of talent in PESIT and as such, the students are hired for a multitude of fields ranging from Full stack development, WebDev, DevOps to ML and Data mining related roles. Some have also been hired for managerial roles. The average salary for Technical jobs is around 7-8 LPA for CSE,ISE streams. The highest salary in 2019 placement was around 40L CTC. Percentage of placement is high, around 95%+. The alumni network is mediocre, with some alumni interested in communication with current students.

Fees & Scholarships : PES Institute of Technology, [PESIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 3+ Lakhs per year. There are a few scholarships available either through the college merit list or through government and third party means.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is one boys hostel on campus and another one off campus along with one for girls. There are a ton of PGs nearby at walkable distances as well as 2,3 BHK flats. College food is not that good. The food is edible but nothing to talk about. Many hostel students prefer to order food from outside rather than eating in the college mess. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated along with the Labs. Though there is no other positive about the labs. Labs use outdated PCs with slow hardware and unsupported versions of Ubuntu. Some packages needed for Python programming are incompatible with such old systems and the college has still not updated the systems in the LABS. The internet in the labs is unusable as it does not provide sufficient speed for any work. The library is spacious but not well lit or ventilated. There are windows but they are always kept closed. There is a decent selection of books related to the courses but none for any other domain.

Clubs & Associations : There is not much in terms of extra curricular activities when compared to other colleges. There are a few clubs for dancing and a few related to particular streams(ECE,MECH), but even those are restricted and are not funded by the college. There are ONLY 2 festivals in the college, namely MAAYA and ACTIVITY DAY. College life in general is monotonous and not very happening. There are a few technical events here and there but that's about it.

Academics & Faculty : The faculties here are good and maintain a friendly environment. In particular, the faculties of Information Science are really cool. More priority is given for academics. The faculties are always available for helping the students during classes and also they tend to spend their personal time for the students who approach them. Very few faculties are quite strict.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The PESIT BANGALORE SOUTH CAMPUS located in bangalore is one among top ranked engineering colleges in Karnataka. The admissions for bachelors degree courses are based on the cutoffs scored in enterance exams like KCET and COMED-K.My admission was based on my KCET score.Students from Karnataka state are eligible wit their cutoff of KCET ranks whereas students from other states need to have a good score in COMED-K to get a seat.Management seats are also available.

Placements & Internships : Placements are good for the students who belong to the departments of Computer Science and Information science. A number of IT-based companies visit the college for hiring students during the time of 7th and 8th semesters. Some core companies that hire students from Electrical and Mechanical branches will also be showing up. Students from the electronic city campus have to travel to the Banashankari branch to attend their placements.

Fees & Scholarships : PES Institute of Technology, [PESIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. The fees of PES Institute of Technology is INR 1,20,000. The fees for the seats based on KCET and COMED-K are fixed by the Government. the students joining under PES-University have to pay the fees fixed by the University. The college bus fees vary from INR18000 to INR 26000 based on the distance of travel. All the fees should be paid in the form of Demand Draft or through RTGS Students can apply for Scholarships provided by the Govt of Karnataka based on their eligibility or catagory.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The college campus quite huge including areal facilities for sports and entertainment. The college building includes classrooms and laboratories that are sufficiently special. There are two cafeterias, one of the 4th floor and the other on the 5th floor of the college main block. The wide cricket ground and football ground are situated very close to the main entrance of the college. There are two basketball courts and a Tennis court in front of the college hostel. The hostel is located at the backside of the college.

Clubs & Associations : IEEE is a prominent club headed by the HoD of the Information Science and Engineering. ENIGMA  is another clud that actively involves in building models and a few actual cars. Another club RAAS works on Robotics Development.  They conduct workshops and seminar sessions every now and then.

Academics & Faculty : PESIT sticks to its routine. Classes start for the day at 8AM and conclude at 3.15PM with 2 breaks in between. Teachers are very punctual and efficiently use the class hours to maximize productivity in terms of either work done or portions covered. Assignments are given about three times a semester, usually before the monthly internal assessments, so students get a rough idea about what's to come. Assignments are also evaluated in a timely manner and faculty members assist the students in case of any difficulty. The quality and method of teaching is satisfactory, but can be better. Teachers enthusiastically offer help and assistance with research work. The overall experience in college is quite satisfactory. Academics can be slightly better in terms of teaching. But students who are interested in research can find highly experienced and skilled teachers to guide them. They can also work with teachers pursuing their own doctorates.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I was admitted to PESIT through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test College Allotment process. My KCET rank was eligible for admission in PESIT. The exam is a fairly easy one, since the syllabus is primarily the 12th grade CBSE Science stream portions. Requires a fair bit of practice on a regular basis. The typical cut-off for my course i terms of the required rank is around 6000 for the general category.

Placements & Internships : Quite a few prominent companies from the IT sector visit PESIT every year to recruit students as part of campus placements. Companies that offer a range of salary packages, starting from as low as 2.5lpa to those that offer up to 50lpa come to PESIT every year. Some of these companies recruit in mass numbers while others are selective. About 85% of the batch gets placed on an average every year. The roles that these companies hire for are mainly technical, while a few of them have looked for Data Analysts, Business Developers and Digital Marketers. A huge chunk of students get hired as IT developers. A few companies that hire in large numbers are Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. The faculty members do help students find suitable internships, but students often end up finding internships on their own.

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee per year, including the KCET fees comes anywhere between 70k and 80k INR, depending on how much the college fees charged may vary. Students belonging to minority castes may avail a government provisioned scholarship annually which waives off the KCET fees, About all the students from underprivileged castes get this scholarship.  Loans are often not needed to pay the college fee alone, since it is very affordable if admitted through KCET. However, if a student hails from a highly impoverished family, they may need to take a loan. The ease of accessibility of these loans depends on the student's family's financial condition and other factors.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. The boys' college is on-campus, while the girls' college is located near Amaatra Academy, about 6 kms from the college. Hostels are well-maintained and well-equipped. The hostel fee per year comes up to around 120000 INR, which would be about 10000 INR.  There are quite a few good PGs located within walking distance from the college premises. They charge an affordable amount per month. The food offered in PESIT hostels can be better. They can be more nutritious and satisfying in terms of taste and quality. The same caterers who provide food in the hostels are in charge of catering food for the college cafeteria and food bus. The food is slightly overpriced and can be of better quality. Also, PESIT has very few places to get food from. PESIT definitely needs more accessible food points throughout the campus since right now these food points are sparsely distributed within the campus. Classrooms, labs and libraries are well equipped. Almost all the computers are in good working condition. The library is packed with books and is regularly updated with newer versions of good books. Every classroom, seminar hall and lab is equipped with a projector and a screen to display presentations, videos and any digital supplementary content as the students or faculty may see fit. The benches and other necessities are in good condition. Wi-Fi accessibility can be better throughout college.

Clubs & Associations : Clubs such as Enigma, Avions, etc are active in PESIT which work with automobiles, drones, etc. A number of IEEE clubs such as RAS(Robotics and Automation Club), Women in Engineering etc are also very active. A number of research clubs are also very active. The main cultural events are Maaya and Activity Day Fest. A number of tech events are also organized throughout the year, such as hackathons and project exhibitions.  College life in general is good, but it can include more events and activities to make it a more fun experience.

Academics & Faculty : Faculty is supportive when it comes to studies. But for other activities and extra curriculars, not even a single staff member is supportive. Teaching is good and emphasis is given to the students understanding of the concept.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Go to this college through CET. The management showed no sense of respect, hospitality and was very irresponsible.

Placements & Internships : Placements are the only reason why this college is up and running. We are required to find an internship on our own. Internships during the working days of the college are not allowed. The staff is not at all supportive.

Fees & Scholarships : Coming through CET my fees are okay and not that high. But I know students who got through management and paid a huge amount.

Clubs & Associations : Clubs are organized and run by students themselves. No support from the staff here either. Technical clubs are good and a lot of options are available too. Arts and Science clubs are less in number and are well organized.
