Hostels

• Separate girls & boys hostel with full security having all facilities like mess, water cooler, 24 hours power supply etc. are suited in the college campus.

• Boy’s hostel is five story with all modern facilities. Rooms are available as single, double and triple seater with internet connection. Hostel is having 24 hours electricity.

Library

Library is a very important component in the infrastructure of an academic institution. It plays a key role in the overall development of a student of that institution. During College, library plays a vital role. Situated at the heart of the campus, library is open 10 hours a day during semesters and provides you with all the information you need when you need it. The surroundings are modern, comfortable and ideal for study and there are reading spaces available for both group-work and quiet study. The library is fully automated with TLS now houses about 25000 volumes of books; all the books are bar-coded. The library subscribes to about 50 National / International journals in print form, 95 in electronic through internet, 17 magazines and many important newspapers. A rich collection of CDs recognized & DVDs is also available for its users. The books in the library are classified according to the dewey decimal classification scheme 22nd addition and catalogued in MARC-21 format and manual form both by AACR-2. The library is a member of DELNET (developing library network). DELNET has about million catalogue records books, periodicals, articles etc. available in machine-readable form. The library automated and networked in order to provide efficient reference service to its user can access our library through internet / intranet.

• Library Membership: Any student/ faculty member who has joined the college can become the member of the Library.

• Newspaper Section: Library holds a very rich collection of relevant periodicals and magazines.

• Net Lab: Internet facility with a 100 Mbps dedicated leased line is available within the library premises for easy access of information.

• Reference service: Ready help and guidance is provided to all searching for any book or other reference material within the library.

• Easy search through software: Students can make easy search of particular title or book in the library with the help of state-of-the-art library software.

• Xerox facility: For the convenience of staff and students the libraries have Xerox machines to offer Xerox facility

Wi-Fi campus

PIT campus is a fine ensemble of latest in terms of infrastructure as well as equipments made available to its students. An open learning atmosphere is promoted through the use of a fully wi-fi enabled setup across the campus. This allows learning to move outside the classroom where students can discuss, learn and grow. It also helps to maintain a wire free campus area and access to secure internet to the students as well as the faculty.

Internet Lab

The computer centre is solely responsible for keeping Computation related facilities available to each and every member of Prasad Institute of Technology, Jaunpur. Computer Center provides Email, Web, DNS, FTP, Internet access, HPC and other services 24 hours and 365 days a year. Computer Centre also provides various advance and special purpose software for all the campus users.

Computer Center State-of-the-art computing facilities with 5000 PCs, well-equipped modern departmental laboratories, 24x7 40 Mbps internet bandwidth connectivity through multiple ISPs, Wi-fi Campus & power generation capacity

Sports

Sports play an integral role in the overall development of students and due emphasis is laid on games and sports. Facilities for indoor games like: TT, badminton, volleyball, basketball exist and arrangements are made to send students to other colleges for outdoor games like cricket & football. Sports have been an important social and cultural activity through ages. It is not only necessary for all round development of a person but also provides a means of recreation and relaxation for body and mind. Various competitions provide opportunities for social interaction between culturally and ethnically different groups of people thereby fostering qualities of sportsmanship in them. The need for a sports arena was felt a few years back and the Institute took an initiative to come up with a plan for an indoor sports complex to cater to the needs of the students.
