PIMSRC Eligibility for MBBS Admission

Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens or children/dependents of NRIs.

Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.

Educational Qualifications: 

Candidates must meet any one of the following criteria:

  • Passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Completed Intermediate Science or pre-professional/pre-medical courses, including practicals in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Finished the first year of a science degree with relevant subjects and practical components.
  • Earned a B.Sc. degree with at least two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, or Biology, along with the necessary earlier qualifications.
  • Possess any equivalent qualification recognized by the MCI.

PIMSRC NEET UG Requirement

Applicants must qualify for NEET-UG, securing at least the 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC; 45th percentile for candidates with locomotor disabilities).

Selection Process:

  • Admissions are based on NEET-UG scores.
  • National and state merit lists determine seat allocation.
  • Reserved categories and candidates with disabilities are eligible for relaxation in qualifying marks.

PIMSRC Eligibility for PG Medical Admission

Criteria: Candidates must pass NEET-PG, with a minimum score of 50th percentile (40th for SC/ST/OBC; 45th for locomotor disabilities).

Selection and Reservations:

  • NEET-PG is the only entrance exam, conducted under MCI guidelines.
  • 3% of seats are reserved for candidates with locomotor disabilities (50%-70%); if unfilled, candidates with 40%-50% disabilities are considered.
  • Government doctors working in remote areas may receive up to 30% additional weightage in marks.
  • In private institutions, 50% of seats are allocated by the state, and the remaining 50% by the institution based on NEET-PG merit.

Additional Guidelines:

  • PG courses commence by May 2; super-specialty courses start by August 1.
  • Admissions close by May 31 (PG) and September 30 (super-specialty).
  • Institutions admitting students after the deadline may face penalties, including forfeiture of seats in the following academic year.

Reservation for Government Doctors:

50% of PG Diploma seats are reserved for government medical officers with at least three years of service in remote areas. After completing the diploma, they must serve two additional years in such areas.

Common Rooms: Separate common rooms for male and female MBBS students with attached cafeterias and washrooms.

College Council Hall: Situated in the Administrative Block.

Medical Education Unit: Facilitates workshops, in-house training, and research development programs to enhance teaching capacity.

Student Mentoring Programme: Provides support to students for adapting to the curriculum and environment, promoting academic success and emotional well-being.

Laboratories: Features modern labs with advanced equipment and trained staff to assist students in practical learning.

Skill Lab: Available for practical training and hands-on learning.

Hostel: Separate hostels for boys and girls with well-furnished rooms, recreational facilities, and 24-hour security.

Recreation: Outdoor facilities include Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton, while indoor games like Chess, Caroms, and Table Tennis are also available.

Gymnasium: A well-maintained gymnasium for physical fitness.

Canteen: Two canteens and small service counters cater to the needs of students, faculty, patients, and visitors.

Chapel: Provides a peaceful space for spiritual support to students and patients.
