The Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science Indore was set up in 1952. It is one of the popular and leading colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is an Autonomous Institution and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya.  It has been ranked by various independent bodies among the top 30-40 including IITs and NITs.

It has been recognized as a center for QIP (Quality Improvement Programme) by AICTE. The institute aims to be a front-line institute in science and technology making significant contributions to human resource development. The college has well-maintained infrastructure facilities.

SGSITS provides separate hostels to boys and girls. It offers spacious rooms, canteen, auditorium, library, and a number of other facilities. It has well qualified and trained faculties to cater to the need of the students. The SGSITS Indore placement cell functions well to get its students placed.

Currently, the college offers 23 Postgraduate courses and 10 Undergraduate courses. It also provides a doctorate degree in the fields of Applied Science, Pharmacy, and Engineering.  Every year, about 400 candidates in PG courses, 700 students in UG courses, and about 20 students in PhD programmes are enrolled at the college.

It also provides part-time degree courses in B.E. These courses are conducted in the evening and is self-financed. The SGSITS Admission is based on merit. SGSITS NRI Quota admission to B.E course is through state-level counselling which is conducted by DTE. SGSITS Fees for all the courses vary according to the type of the program and discipline.

The campus is built over an area of 85,000 Sq.m. There are 7 hostels at present, 4 for boys & 2 for girls. The college also has a cooperative store wherein the students can purchase books and other needed items. It also has a dispensary and sports complex. It also has a bank for the convenience of the students. It also has a well-maintained canteen.

The College has a computerized Central Library with reading rooms and book bank services. It is open to the students and faculties from 9 AM to 9 PM. It also has 36 computers that provide internet and online journal searching services to its users. The Library is one-of-its-kind with more than 10,00,000 books and 150 National and International Journals. It has also subscribed to more than 16,000 online Journals from BENTHAM, IEEE, IOP, SPRINGER, ASCE, ELSEVIER, etc.

SGSITS Indore Activities:

The college organizes various activities throughout the year. Every academic year starts with a fresher,s day. 'Aayaam' is the techno-cultural event organized by the college. It includes a Gold Medal Award Ceremony for the meritorious students. It includes various events like blood donation camp, nokkad Natak, robotics competitions, bridge design competitions, open movie theatre, etc.

Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science Indore Admissions:

The interested candidates can fill the online application form. The admission is based on merit and is conducted in 3phases. The final selection is done through online counseling by DTE. It is similar to the SGSITS Indore Admission 2018. For admissions in 2019-20, UG Tuition Fees will be increased by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science Indore Hostel Details:

The SGSITS offers a separate hostel for boys and girls. It has 4 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. The boy's hostel has a capacity of 600 and the girls hostel has a capacity of 500. The PG students are provided hostel admission on the basis of merit. The SGSITS facilities include indoor and outdoor sports, medical facilities, etc.

Apart from the hostel facilities, the campus also provides facilities for staff in the form of quarters in the form of different blocks for Professor, Reader, Lecturer, New Staff. There are also guest house facilities.

All the students are expected to pay INR 5000 as a hostel caution deposit at the time of hostel admission.  The SGSITS Indore hostel fees include registration fees, rent per student per semester, water and electricity charges, maintenance charges, etc. In total, the hostel fee is INR 5250 per semester for both boys and girls. The hostel Mess charge is INR 10,000 per semester.
