SSU is a private 'deemed to be university' in Karnataka, India. Sri Siddhartha University was established in 2008 as per Section 3 of UGC Act 1956[3] to improve the quality of technical education in southern Karnataka. It is affiliated to Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology. The university is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). SSU offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students. Admission 2022-23 is in process for various UG & PG programs offered in different specialisations and is given on the basis of NEET UG & NEET PG scores.

SSU encompasses technical fields which offers 11 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate courses. There are more than 100 PhD candidates. It has many departments recognized as research centers which are spread across its affiliated institutions in Tumkur, Karnataka. One of its affiliated college, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, is recognised by the World Bank for getting assistance in setting up state-of-the-art laboratories, campus facilities, and research centers under the TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (Phase I & II), a Government of India initiative.

SSU Admission

Admissions are now open. The college makes admission decisions based on the candidate's NEET UG and NEET PG scores. The application mode is online.

SSU Eligibility Criteria

SSU offers medical science courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Before applying for the course, candidates must closely comply with the eligibility requirements. Applicants will be chosen entirely on the basis of their merit. Listed below are the essential eligibility criteria every candidate must satisfy.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have completed 12th in PCB and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• The candidates must have obtained the minimum required rank in NEET UG.

MD Eligibility Criteria   

• The candidate should have completed M.B.B.S.
• The candidates must have obtained a valid score in NEET PG.

MS Eligibility Criteria   

• The candidate should have completed M.B.B.S.
• The candidates must have obtained a valid score in NEET PG.

SSU Cutoff

Sri Siddhartha University cutoff 2022 has not been released yet. Admissions to this university’s MBBS and BDS courses are based on the NEET UG examination.  The SSU cutoff will be determined based on various categories like reservation categories, seat availability, etc. The accepted exams are NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET MDS.

SSU placements 2022 are in process. According to the 2019-2020 placement drive 136 students were placed out of 689. The average median package amounted upto INR 3.70LPA, Campus recruitment drives are undertaken by inviting companies from the private, public and government sectors to place Institute’s students at entry level managerial positions. Placement assistance is provided industry sector-wise as well as by functional area wise.SSU placement cell offers career counselling to students to help them choose the best career path for them. SSU offers a variety of workshops and seminars to help students prepare for technical examinations, interviews, and group discussions. SSU offers scholarships to needy and meritorious students. Scholarships encourage and support students who are unable to continue their studies owing to financial constraints. Students can also apply for a variety of state and national scholarships. The Government of India's Ministry of Minority Affairs provides a Post Matric Scholarship, while the Ministry of Human Resource Development's Department of Higher Education provides a Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students.

SSU Alumni

SSU has a registered alumni association. It has been functioning and meeting regularly. Few members of the alumni are also part of teaching staff at SSMC & SSDC.
