Symbiosis School of International Studies, [SSIS] Pune is a part of Symbiosis International University. It aims to provide a platform for teaching and research. The college has students from all the states of India along with 85 different countries. The faculty of the college has been instructed to employ multiple methods of instruction. 

SSIS, Pune Courses includes MA in International Studies Certificate in International Relations and News Media. 30 students can be admitted into the program. It is taught through mixed pedagogical approach. Students get theoretical and practical knowledge in the program. The university teaching techniques resonate with that of Symbiosis University. The international matters are taught in depth enabling students to have a wider perspective.

• Students can apply online on the official website of SSIS, Pune
• Candidates have to go through the interview round and Written Ability Test as a part of the selection process
• Indian candidates will have to submit the documents mentioned below:
  • Self-attested photocopies of statements of marks of all the semesters/ years of qualifying exam issued by a recognised university/ qualifying board/ autonomous college [admission will be cancelled in case of any backlog]
  • Self-attested passing certificate/ degree certificate of the qualifying exam issued by a recognised university/ board/ by autonomous college
  • For undergraduate admissions, candidates will have to submit transfer certificate from school/ institute/ college they last attended
  • The migration certificate should be admitted in original issued by a board or a recognised university
  • Candidates who have studied from SSIS, Pune and are seeking admission to any other program of Symbiosis International need not submit migration certificate but transfer certificate has to be submitted in original
  • Candidates seeking admission in a part-time program of Symbiosis International University don't need to submit a migration certificate
  • Candidates with a gap in their education are required to submit a declaration on an affidavit or in the gap format
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category need to submit category certificate issued by a Tehsildar/ Sub-divisional magistrate/ Deputy Collector of the area or by a competent authority
  • Candidates with a physical disability who are applying for admission in any constituent Institute of Symbiosis International University should produce a certificate under differently abled category [DAC]
  • The candidates will also have to authenticate their disability from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care [SCHC]
  • Candidates belonging to the category of Jammu & Kashmir Migrant in type J1, J2, J3 need to submit Migrant Certificate in original issued by the govt. of Jammu & Kashmir
  • A candidate looking for admission under the defence category will have to submit an authenticated photocopy of Identity Card as a proof of dependent of Defence personnel
  • In case of a name change, the candidate will have to submit a change of name certificate [a copy of the govt. gazette in proof of a change in the name has to be submitted]
  • Candidates who have done diploma by AICTE and taking admission in a B.Tech program of the university need to submit an equivalence certificate issued by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education [MSBTE]
  • Candidates who have done diploma by Government Polytechnic doesn't need to submit equivalence certificate
  • If a candidate has studied from a foreign university they need to submit an AIU equivalence certificate
  • Experience certificate, registration certificate will have to be submitted wherever applicable
  • An industry-sponsored letter has to be submitted in case of admission under Industry Sponsored category
  • Additional documents like Anti Ragging affidavit [signed by student and parent] and Indemnification/ Healthcare undertaking [signed by student and parent] needs to be submitted

Symbiosis School of International Studies, [SSIS] Pune Selection Process:

• The candidates will have to go through a Personal Interaction [PI] session where they will be facing an interview panel consisting of at least 2 members
• The application will also have to go through a Written Ability Test [WAT] which will be conducted on paper and will be of 30 minutes
• The maximum score of PI-WAT will be of 50 marks
• The following documents will be required to put forward in the PI-WAT centre:
  • PI-WAT call letter
  • Self-attested copy of photo identity
  • Self-attested copy of Category Certificate
  • Self-attested copy of 10th, 12th and graduation mark sheet
  • Other certificates for extracurricular activities
