The Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce [BMCC] is a pioneering, degree commerce college in India, situated in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. The Deccan Education Society has established BMCC college in 1943. The founders of the college have been envisaged a mission to provide enlightened leadership and skilled manpower in the field of trade and business to the country on the verge of independence.

BMCC is Situated at the foot of the rugged Fergusson College Hill and dotted with lush green trees and shrubs all around, it has a most amazing and inviting atmosphere for education, which attracts students for BMCC Admission from all region of the country.

BMCC wants to enrich Indian citizen with the materially, Intellectually, and morally. All the college activities connected with the College will be consciously correlated to this declared objective of the society. Prof. D. G. Karve, a renowned Economist and past Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India were the First Principal of the college. The workshops, quiz competitions, and seminars conducted in the college will be informative and active with student participation, where students can learn new things and share their ideas. Apart from academic activities, BMCC conducts cultural programs. The cultural fests are the best for cultural exchange and programs where students can know many things about other states. Though it is a College of commerce BMCC provides more placements for Marketing and finance students. Though the college offers a BCA course many IT companies visit the campus every year. The major companies that visit the campus are Zensar, Google, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Accenture, Reliance Life Insurance, Syntel BPO, Asian Paints, J.P.Morgan, etc. For the last five years, these companies have regularly visited the campus for placement.

It is according to BMCC Pune cut off that admissions to BMCC have been done. For the UG programs, the cut off will be based on their appropriate scores from the higher secondary exam, and students are required to have a decent percentage of marks

For PG courses, the cut off will be based on their respective eligibility test scores and the scores from UG will also be considered and will be on the basis of that qualification, the students are selected. The hostel facility provided by BMCC Facilities allotted for boys and girls. The hostels have all the required facilities. There is a hostel facility for both boys and girls and the hostels have all the required facilities for students including various activities like sports. Hostels provide good food and have the availability of freshwater, heater, washing machines, etc. single/ Double/ Tripple sharing rooms are available in the hostels.
