John Institute of Technology is part of the T. John Group of Institutions. Since a humble beginning in 1993 the T. John Group has expanded to include new departments and blocks and spread over an area of 20 acres. TJIT was set up in the year 2006 to meet the rapidly growing need for IT Professionals in India and abroad. Starting with just two courses B.E. Computer Science Engineering and B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, today the college has expanded into a full-fledged provider of technical education, offering B.E. degrees in six streams of engineering, as well as two post-graduate courses. The Department of Information Science Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication Engineering was established in the year 2007. In the same year the institute also started the Business Administration Department that offers the MBA program under VTU. In 2009 the first batch of Mechanical Engineering students joined the institute to pursue B.E. in Mechanical Engineering under the newly established Department of Mechanical Engineering. Continuing its exponential growth in 2010, TJIT started the MCA program under VTU.

The institute was established in 2000 as a private college affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. T John Institute of Technology admission offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses in the field of Engineering. T John Institute of Technology is located in Bangalore. It was established in 1993 and comes under the T John Group of Institutions. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka, the institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). T John Institute of Technology offers B.E and Ph.D. in 5 specializations. Admission to B.E is provided based on CET and COMEDK/ AIEEE/ JEE exams. Candidates seeking admission must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks. Securing admission in Ph.D.  depends upon the score in the entrance test conducted by VTU. Those who have completed their Masters; degree with 60% marks are eligible for admission into the course. Applications for both the courses are available on the official portal of the institute. Students can even download the application form for the Ph.D. and then fill it with the required data. Final admission is through counseling of candidates based on the rank that they have obtained in the entrance examination.

The college presently offers undergraduate courses in B.E with several specializations. T John Institute of Technology offers a full-time B.E course of 4 years duration to the applicants with 5 specializations. Lateral Entry is also offered to the aspirants. Candidates seeking admission in Lateral Entry shall clear all the bridge courses as prescribed by the university.

T John Institute of Technology UG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Criteria

The college offers a full-time B.E course of 4 years duration to the applicants with 5 specializations. Lateral Entry is also offered to the aspirants. The college offers the B.E program in five specializations. Admission to B.E is done based on the KCET and COMEDK UGET entrance examination. The college also offers direct admission to B.E. Second Year. Minimum eligibility is Diploma or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks. The fee structure for the B.E course is INR 1,25,000 per annum.

The college presently offers a few doctorate courses. The college offers a Ph.D. in various specializations. The candidates should have passed Master’s degree. Candidates who successfully submit the application form will be called to appear in the entrance test conducted by VTU on a specified date.

For admission to doctorate programs candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the College. All admissions are made strictly following the college rules in force at the time of admission. If students clear this test, they have to go to the college and pay fees of INR 20,000/- (For external candidates) and INR 15,000/- (For internal candidates).

Interested candidates can apply online for B.E and Ph.D. courses. Furthermore, in the case of the Ph.D., students can also apply in offline mode. The application process for both modes is prescribed below:

Online Mode

1. Candidates are required to visit the official website of the college and click on the “Apply Online” link.
2. The online application will require them to fill their details such as name and mobile number.
3. As soon as the student fills the above details, the screen will display a page asking for more information.
4. Now candidates have to fill personal, communication, and education details and enter the captcha.
5. Once the entire form is filled, they need to click on the “Submit” button.
6. Candidates will then be called or mailed, giving instructions on the further steps to apply for the courses, submit their documents, and also to submit the fees.

Offline Mode (Applicable for Ph.D)

1. Candidates need to first download the application form from the official website of VTU.
2. They should then meet with the concerned HOD in the college’s campus to discuss the topics which they would prefer to opt for their study.
3. They are then advised to pay a fee of INR 5,000/- towards counseling fees, seat reservations, and application fees.
4. After paying, they need to submit the filled application form along with the receipt of INR 5,000/-.
5. The candidates are also informed that they will be receiving back the same application form with the signatures and seal of the concerned HOD and Principal.
6. Lastly, candidates have to submit this application form in VTU, Belgaum personally.
