Thakur College encourages its students to take up sports to be fit and follow a healthy lifestyle for that the college conducts many sports fests.
The college has its own cricket and football grounds and basket and volleyball courts with floodlights, they also have indoor games facilities like table tennis hall and chess and carrom boards. CORTOKINO Thakur's own International Short Film Fest, TRISHNA the Arts Fest, The Intra college fest TARKASH, AAGAZ, etc. are the main events that happen in the college. As the institution gives more preference to sports many sports items such as Football, Cricket, etc. Tournaments are also conducted on the campus.

Thakur College is always alert to give the best placements to the students from reputed organizations. There have been 27 Campus Placement drives arranged in 2017-2018. 3 Pool Campus Placement drives arranged in 2017-2018, as a result, a total of 227 students were placed in the academic year 2017-2018.
With the help of an excellent Thakur College Of Science and Commerce Placement Cell, a total of 195 students were placed in the academic year 2016-2017. Year by year the flow of major companies to the campus is increasing and the students are getting very much comfortable with the placement. Special training for interviews and placement has been given to the students in the leadership of Placement Cell as well as faculties of different departments. Students were placed in Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra JP Morgan, ATOS, etc for the past years.

The fee structure offered by Thakur College Of Science and Commerce is very much affordable for the students. If needed Thakur College will allow students to take the loan from banks for the payment.
For Management course BMS the course fees for 3 years is INR 1,56,990 and for B Com the fees for 3 years is INR 1,60,932, on the other hand, the bachelor program B Sc demands a fees structure of INR 1,81,470 for 3 Years
For Post-graduation programs such as M Sc, the fee is INR 89,705 for two years, and for M Com the fees would be INR 56,000 for two years.
Many scholarship opportunities are provided by Thakur College especially for students who are having excellent academic as well as sports background. Government scholarships for students who belong to the minority category are also there.
Based on sports quota scholarships to the students from the sports background are given and for students having outstanding academic results, scholarships will be given on a merit basis. Other than these many Government/ Non Government scholarships are provided for the eligible students.

All Thakur College of Science and Commerce admissions are provisional, subject to the approval of the University of Mumbai and are granted as per the statutes and direction issued by the University of Mumbai from time to time. The admission will be based on merit and the score of the previous academics is also being considered. students who are eligible from the Thakur College will get preference.
For UG applicant marks from their 10th/12th were considered for admission and for applicants who seek admission for PG, their marks from their graduation are taken into account. The eligible qualification earned by students should be recognized by a valid authority. All applicants should satisfy the eligibility constraints.

There exist cut off standards in Thakur College for each course. Students are sorted on the basis of cut off scores or percentages.
