Eligibility criteria of MA
- The candidate should have completed his/her Bachelor's degree in the BA in any relevant course from any recognised University for the admission.
- The candidates opting for M.A Japanese must have hold of N2 or Old 2kyu and above in addition to the graduation degree in any field and should qualify the Entrance test conducted by the University to get the admission.
Eligibility criteria of M.Sc
- The candidates should have completed their Bachelor's course in any relevant subject from any recognised Univeristy to get the admission.
- Candidates opting for M.Sc Nutrition & Food Science with BAMS/BHMS/B.Sc. Nutrition & Food Science / B.Sc. food technology as their bachelor’s degree can also get the admission.
- Candidates opting for M.Sc Biotechnology with B.Sc. (Biotechnology / Life Science / Microbiology / Biology / Botany / Zoology / Chemistry / Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science) can also get the admission.
- Candidates opting for M.Sc in Biotechnology/Nutrition and Food science must clear the entrance examination conducted by the TMV University to get the admission.
Tilak Maharastra Vidyapeeth (TMV) Application process
The students who are willing to get admission in the TMV Unversity should know about the application process conducted by the University for admission. The University offers the students to get admissions in the PG courses like MA, M.Sc. The application process for the admission is similar to both the MA and M.Sc :
Application process for admission
- The candidates should apply for admission through the offline registration process and submit completed application before the last date. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled in with the relevant information.
- The candidates can obtain the application form along with prospectus from the university office or from any Premises of Vidyapeeth by submitting the required fee to get in the admission process.
- The application fee for admission is INR 500
- After filling the application form completely, it should be submitted to the university office along with the essential enclosures before the last date.

Programmes under Ph.D course – (5 years):
Geography:
Eligibility: Candidate must possess MA/ M.Sc. degree in Geography and allied Sciences with a clearing of entrance examination, which is mandatory.
Education:

- Candidate must possess master’s degree from recognised university with minimum 55% marks in the relevant field.
- 5% relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.
Vidyavachaspati Indology:
Eligibility: Candidate must be a post graduate in Indology with minimum 55% marks.
Vidyavachaspati Sanskrit:
Eligibility: Candidate must be a post graduate in Sanskrit with a minimum of 55% marks.
Economics:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must possess M.A/ M.Phil. degree in Economics with 55% marks (for open category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates).
- Candidate must possess post graduation degree examination from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks in relevant fields.
- 5% relaxation will be given to physically disabled candidates.
- Candidate with 55 years of age or having post-graduation degree with 55% of marks is eligible to apply.
- Candidate must have work experience in which the area of research is proposed.
Vidyavachaspati in History:
Eligibility
- Candidate must pass post-graduation degree with 55% marks (for open category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates).
- Candidate must possess post-graduation degree examination from a recognised university with minimum 55% of marks in relevant fields.
- 5% relaxation will be given to physically disabled candidates.
- Candidate with 55 years of age or having post-graduation degree with 55% of marks is eligible to apply.
- Candidate must have work experience in which the area of research is proposed.
Library Science:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must possess Master’s degree in Library and Information science from any recognised university.
- Candidate must have basic knowledge of Computers and English language.
Political Science:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must have passed post-graduation degree with 55% marks (for open category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates).
- Candidate must possess post-graduation degree examination from a recognised university with minimum 55% of marks in relevant fields.
- 5% relaxation will be given to physically disabled candidates.
- Candidate with 55 years of age or having post-graduation degree with 55% marks is eligible to apply.
- Candidate must have work experience in which the area of research is proposed.
Sociology:

- Candidate must have passed post-graduation degree with 55% marks (for open category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates).
- Candidate must possess post-graduation degree examination from a recognised university with minimum 55% of marks in relevant fields.
- Foreign candidates must have 50% or equivalent GPA.
- 5% relaxation will be given to physically disabled candidates.
- Candidate with 55 years of age or having post-graduation degree with 55% of marks is eligible to apply.
- Candidate must have work experience in which the area of research is proposed.
Ayurveda:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must have done MD (Ayurveda) in the concerned subject and must pass the entrance examination.
- Candidate must have done council registration.
Mass media:
Eligibility: Candidate must have done Master’s degree with 55% marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST candidates)
Management:
Eligibility: Candidates must have done masters degree/M.Phil in Management with 55% marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates).
Social work:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must possess Masters degree in social work.
- Candidate must clear the entrance examination and interview.
Programmes under M.Phil course:
Geography:
Eligibility: Candidates must possess MA degree in Geography with 55% of marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates)
Economics:
Eligibility: Candidates must possess MA degree in economics with 55% marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates), M.Sc. and M.Com students are also eligible.
History:
Eligibility: Candidate must have done post-graduation in any faculty with a minimum of 55% of marks.
Library & Information Sciences:
Eligibility: Candidate must have done master degree in library and information science from any recognised university but preference will be given to candidates having an additional qualification and work experience.
Political Sciences:
Eligibility: Candidates must possess MA degree in Political science with 55% of marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates); M.Sc and M.Com students are also eligible
Sociology:
Eligibility: Candidate must have done post-graduation degree with a minimum of 50% of marks and 50% marks (for reserved category candidates).
Ayurveda:
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have done MD (Ayurveda) in concern subject and must pass the entrance examination.
- Candidate must have done council registration.
Management:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must have pass post-graduation degree with at least 55% of marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for reserved category) by a recognised university.
- Foreign candidates must obtain a master degree from any Indian recognised university.
Social Work:
Eligibility:
- Candidate must have pass post-graduation degree with at least 55% of marks (for open category) and 50% marks (for reserved category) by a recognised university.
- Foreign candidates must obtain a master degree from any Indian recognised university.
Admission application process for M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts and M.Phil/Ph.D in science:
- The candidate will get admission only on the basis of eligibility criteria and clearance of entrance examination.
- The candidates can take admission at the headquarters in Pune or at any Premises of Vidyapeeth.
- The candidate must obtain prospectus either from the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth or from the Vidyapeeth Campuses / Administrative Offices of the Vidyapeeth
- The candidate must appear for a personal interview process before the selection committee and selection will depend on the performance at the interview for the admission process.
- The candidate must submit attested Xerox copy of bank deposit challan on the day of the interview as part of the admission process.
- The candidate should give a presentation on a thesis.
- The candidate can register themselves to the above mentioned M.Phil & Ph.D courses by submitting the entrance examination fees of Rs. 3000/-.
- The candidate must pay the admission examination fees by DD of any nationalised bank which is payable at Pune in favour of 'The Registrar’, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.
- The candidate must submit the admission application form and all the enclosures at the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth or from the Vidyapeeth Premises of the Vidyapeeth
Enclosures for the admission of Indian candidates:
- Graduation Certificate/ Mark list photocopy.
- Caste Certificate if applicable for admission procedure.
Enclosures for the admission of International candidates:
- Graduation Certificate/ Mark list Original and Photocopy.
- Passport Original AND Photocopy.
- Student Visa for TMV for the admission procedure.
- Residential Permit from F/ R/ O. Pune.
- HIV Negative blood report not older than 6 months.
- Personal Interview as part of the admission procedure.
The Admission Process for M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts & M.Phil/Ph.D in Science:
- The selection of the candidate is based on merit in the admission entrance examination and the interview conducted by the university.
- The selection for the admission of foreign candidates is done by RRC on the basis of eligibility criteria.
Scholarship:
The scholarship is given through social welfare department of Maharashtra Government for SC/ST students.
Hostel:
- University provides separate a hostel accommodation for boys and girls which have the capacity of 48 students in boys hostel and 96 students in girls hostel.
- A medical officer is present on the campus at all times.
Eligibility Criteria for MCA:
- The applicants seeking admission must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized university/any other university.
- The applicants seeking admission is required to qualify the entrance test conducted by TMV with minimum 50% marks
Eligibility Criteria for MBA/PGDM:
- The applicants seeking admission should have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other university considered as equivalent thereto.
- The applicants seeking admission is required to qualify the entrance test conducted by TMV with minimum 50% marks/GDPI/MAT score.
- The applicants seeking admission opting for MBA(Ayurveda- Pharmacy/ Clinical Research) are considered eligible for admissions only if they have bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) in the fields which are given below:
Eligibility Criteria for MBA Ayurveda- Pharmacy:
- The applicants seeking admission must have cleared BAMS/B.Pharm./equivalent.
Eligibility Criteria for MBA Clinical Research:
- The applicants seeking admission must have passed B.Sc.,M.Sc.,BPharm.,M.Pharm.,Ph.D,BDS,MBBS or MD
Eligibility Criteria for M.Com:
- The applicants seeking admission should have a hold of Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other university considered as equivalent thereto.
Eligibility Criteria for Master of Social Work [MSW]:
- The applicants seeking admission should have a hold of any Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other university.
- The applicants seeking admission is required to qualify the entrance test conducted by TMV with minimum 50% marks followed by an interview.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Ed:
- The applicants seeking admission should have a hold of Bachelors of education (B.Ed.)/ B.Ed. –PE degree with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other university.
Eligibility Criteria for Master of Journalism and Mass Communication [MJMC]
- The applicants seeking admission should have a hold of Bachelor’s degree in any stream with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other university.
Application Process for MCA , M.Com & MBA/PGDM:
- The applicants seeking admission must apply for admission through an offline registration process and submit completed application. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled up with the relevant information.
- The applicants seeking admission can obtain the application form along with prospectus from the university office or at any Premises of Vidyapeeth by submitting the required fees.
- After filling the application form completely, it should be submitted to the university office along with the essential enclosures before the last date.
NOTE: The applicants seeking admission should ensure that the downloaded/offline application form must have the recent colour photograph of the applicant, signature of the applicant and left thumb impression (if required) of the applicant. Failing to do so will result in the rejection of the application form.

- Transfer Certificate of the applicants seeking admission.
- Community Certificate (For OC candidates community certificate not required).

Admission Process for MCA , M.Com & MBA/PGDM:
The applicants seeking admission will be selected for the programme on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination/entrance examination conducted by the University. The selection for admission to M.S.W Degree course will be done through an entrance exam followed by an interview.
