Academics & Faculty : Academic schedule prepared specially to meet the industry demands for management students. Numerous numbers of live projects, competitions etc. always keep coming to help students to explore more.The academic schedule is quiet relaxed with classes starting from 8:15 in the morning to 5:00 in the evening.Classes take place on weekdays but we may be called on weekends by some faculties for extra classes if they feel the need. We have guest lectures almost every week where eminent business personality visits and delivers a lecture. Projects, quizzes and assignments are integral part of the evaluation process. During the first year, all subjects are compulsory and are spread across all domains like marketing, finance, operations, consulting and HR. In second year, students are given the freedom to pick electives of their interests. Methodology of teaching varies from faculty to faculty but most of them teach through power point presentations. Case discussions and video clips are also used for teaching but I feel that slightly more emphasis should be put on practical learning. with more importance given to case based studies and practical approaches to solutions rather than being book smarts alone. Inclusion of projects and assignments is strictly followed by each professor in his respective subject.With a pretty much relaxed time table, students get plenty of time to devote for project and assignment preparation. Quizzes and tests are conducted at a frequency of at least one or two per week which helps the students to be up to date with the curriculum. Students get a basket of choices for specialization in their second years and the courses are relevant to the changing and demanding industry standards. Professors mostly follow case based teaching methods and help students in approaching solutions the practical way. Being, a residential campus, professors are available well beyond class hours to the benefit of the students.

Fees & Scholarships : The fees is pretty nominal when compared to other B-schools of the same tier.The college provides scholarship option in association with IIT, Kharagpur. 35% of the batch is eligible for scholarship with the criteria being family income alone.There is availability of financial aid options in the form of Bank Loan from sbi bank.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi and other key infrastructure is perfect. One of the best campuses in India surely when it comes to InfrastructureThe entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and all the facilities available for the IIT Kharagpur students are enjoyed by VGSoM students as well. Library: VGSOM students have access to both the Central Library of IIT Kharagpur, the largest technical library in India, and the School's own Library. The school subscribes to CMIE database, various national and international journals and newspapers. Sports and Recreation: Outdoor and indoor sports facilities are provided in the Technology Students.Within the campus, cycles are the preferred mode of transport. Cycles can be purchased from campus itself. Rickshaws and buses are also available

Clubs & Associations : there are many clubs and activities on campus to keep you busy. The students take part in the IIT KGP festival as well, which is a very reputed festival of national level.
