Library
The Library is the heart of any academic institution. A Library is a trinity of documents, users and staff. It is the staff, who, by their service bring the users in contact with the documents.The XIE Library is situated on the first floor of the building above the general office and adjacent to the Conference Room . It encloses a total area of over 366 sq metres. The total seating capacity of the Reading Room is 90 and that of the Reference Section is 40.
Laboratories
In order to impart the best training to engineering students, every department in the Institute has its own self-sufficient Laboratories. The laboratories at XIE have high safety standards and are designed and equipped according to the required guidelines.
Workshop
The Institute has a huge workshop for students on the ground floor. It is well lit & ventilated and has all the required equipment for students to get hands-on experience. The workshop has the following sections:
- Carpentry Shop
- Welding Shop
- Fitting Shop
- Sheet Metal Shop
- Electrical Board Wiring Section
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Section
- Some of the machines available are Wood working Lathe , Bench grinder and Drilling machine.
Gymkhana
The Institute has a well-equipped gymkhana on the third floor. It has adequate facilities for various indoor games such as Table Tennis, Carom and Chess. Besides this, facilities are available for outdoor sports too. Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Basket Ball and Badminton are some of the sports that are played on the vast open ground available within the campus. A more elaborate gymkhana will soon be constructed on the terrace with a variety of games and exercising machines.
Canteen
The Institute has a spacious, clean, well-lit and aerated canteen serving tasty and hygienic food & snacks. Quality meals are provided at reasonable rates. The Canteen is also the hub of student activity and many a time students are seen discussing their projects over a cup of tea and snacks. We also have an open air Food Court for students to relax and interact.
