AU LAT eligibility criteria 2023 requires the applicant must have earned a diploma from an accredited university in any discipline. The minimum qualifying exam score for candidates in the general category was 45%; for candidates in the OBC category it was 42%; and for candidates in the SC/ST category, it was 40%. Candidates for the Allahabad University LAT 2023 examination may also be in their last year of graduation.

Candidates must first review the eligibility requirements before filling out the application form. Before completing the questionnaire, candidates must confirm their eligibility for LAT 2023:
Candidates must successfully complete their qualifying exams in any course from a university established by an Act of Parliament, the State Legislature, a national institution recognized as a Deemed to be university, or a foreign university recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority in order to be admitted to the three-year law programme.
For a degree program that is integrated: Candidates who have successfully passed the senior secondary test or an exam of equal standing from an institution of higher learning in India or abroad, as well as from a Senior Secondary Board. Created or recognized by the Union, a State Government, or an analogous foreign institution recognized by that nation's government

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed graduation in any stream from a recognized as a Deemed-to-be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority.

Qualifying Marks: The marks to be eligible to appear for AU LAT are 45% marks for general category 42% marks for OBC category 40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates.

Foreign Students: A Foreign National or Non-Resident Indian who has graduated from a foreign university are no need to appear for the entrance test in spite they will have a separate selection procedure.
AU LAT 2023 Reservation of Seats
- 15 % of the total seats in each subject/course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- 7.5 % of the total seats in each subject/course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- 27 % of the total seats in each subject/course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Other Backward Caste (OBC) category.
- In case the seats reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates remain vacant on account of non-availability of candidates the same shall be filled by the candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
- 5% of the seats under physically handicapped quota shall be filled in order of preference given below:
